I see a Lot of Love for Suns over the Spurs Here>>>
Did Phoenix learn to play defense overnight? Spurs in six at the most.
Now I don't bet chalk, but I must say Spurs -140 for series might actually have value. Still, I think I'll root for the Suns to win a game in San Antone and THEN bet Spurs at + money on Adjusted Series price.

I agree.
Shaq hurts more than helps in this series.

Suns got Shaq for this series. With Shaq in the middle Parker and Ginobili won't get so many easy layups. And on the other end the Spurs will be punished if they don't double Shaq. If they do double him, then Amare is completely out of control. Spurs will undoubtedly try to flop their way into the next round, but it won't work this time. This is a bad matchup for San Antonio. (plus they're off a championship year, so the same hunger isn't there).
The next round is where the trouble is for the Suns. New Orleans has swept the season series.

A modern Day Amare is 100% better than a modern day Duncan. That's the difference. Suns in 7

A modern day Amare still plays no defense, just like rest of the Suns.

A popular myth. The Suns play defense when they want to.
They'll want to.
This is not the run and gun version anymore. Their weak spot is not defense, but turnovers.

I normally don't call you out, but seeing as I'm a suns fan I have too. I feel the suns in 6. This is a new team. You seem to be dwelling in the past too much IMO. They used to not play defense for the last couple years. The warriors reminded me of the suns in the past. The last two months before playoffs have shown that they can play defense IF they want to.

I'll be at Game 1 tomorrow, but I gotta say, that I am loving all the Suns worship going on all over the place. Should make for some incredible value, particularly if SA should lose game 1 (not gonna happen).
Look, I love all the names involved in this series:
Phoenix can throw out a virtual All-Star starting 4: Amare, Shaq, Nash, Hill (once upon a time)
SA has Duncan, Parker, Manu and Finley...
I know the League wants Phoenix to advance here, but I'm betting Shaq is in foul trouble in at least 2 of the first 3 games. I also wouldn't discount the possibility of SA playing more up-tempo and making Shaq a real liability on both ends. I think Phoenix COULD take the series, but I think that there is a lot of premature "end of dynasty" calls here.
If SA takes game 1, I REALLY like their chances.

first game will be taken by the home team - spurs. but series winner will be the suns. odds are the league wants suns to advance. who here doesnt think that some games are decided by the officials? c'mon we've all seen these kinda games and some games are officiated biasedly. some officials are just following orders, direct or indirectly. spurs are a washed up team. they are old and it's time for excitement again. i dnt think spurs team is synonimous with excitement. it's rather the opposite. now if spurs win the first two games decisively (like shooting lights out and defending like crazy) then this series will just be played out by the players and not be affected by any 'outside' interference, if u know what i mean. the key here is if suns steals one in san antonio then it would be the suns who wins this series. simple as dat with or without 'help'!

These aren't your father's Spurs....or perhaps they are...and perhaps that is the problem. SA may win THIS series because perennial "MVP" Nash couldn't guard my grandmother in a locked closet, but no-one will be inquiring about SA ring sizes in June.

I'm not real big on either side, but to think the Spurs are suddenly so much better than the Suns after Phoenix handed them their ass on a plate all season is hilarious.
Diesel will destroy Duncan as he always has done.

In other words, if the Suns win the winning bettors were lucky.
And if the Spurs win everything went as planned.
The line opened at 4 and is still sitting there. The books must not understand the obvious hints by all the sharps.

Spurs got all of 6 pts in the first 6 minutes. All FT's.
As expected, the zebras did hand out a quick two fouls to Shaq; one was correct. (and one to Amare after 0:49 seconds).
Suns looking good so far.

Duncan had a huge quarter against Shaq's backup ... and the Spurs still trail by four.
Phoenix is the better team. San Antonio just can't match the Suns' talent. The Spurs' only advantage in years past -- Duncan -- is not going to be the big decider here.
