LA Lakers vs. Boston Celtics

Celtics will obviously dominate the east, and lakers have home court and will pull it off like they have in all these teams that are in the running lately. Such as recent wins over the hornets, spurs by 25 points, etc. AND they will Have Bynum if that doesnt hurt current successful chemisty.

I liked it over a month ago. Now it seems like EVERYONE likes it so I'm not too sure. I do think Boston makes it though.

Well, if you believe in conspiracy theories, you should load up on a BOS/LAL finals then.

Remember, fellows, the NBA is a profit-seeking enterprise and the majority of their money IS NOT made by game attendence but through TV contracts. It's imperative that they have high ratings which did not happen last year with a lame CLEV/SAS final. Stern wants so badly to have a BOS/LAL final. One thing that the NBA suits do not want is to have SAS in the finals again. That will garner no ratings whatsoever even if they are paired with DET.

Personally, for me, it's hard not to see either DET or BOS coming out. I think DET is not a bad bet if you want to take a team with + value, but realistically, I think BOS wins that series 4-1 if they meet.

In the West, I'll go with LAL or SAS. I do not have a very strong opinion though on that.

Well we know the Celtics are coming out of the east, so if you disagree who do you think it will be in the west? Lakers have home, and have been topping all these teams in question. Plus, like mentioned, the NBA is all about ENTERTAINMENT - whats more entertaining than the biggest NBA rivalry in history than Lakers vs. Celtics ??

i believe a healthy bynum,and paul will be tough to beat.a happy kobe is a dangerous kobe.lakers will win the west.the boston celtics leathel weapon 3 is built for a championship,not for the furture,but to win now.i do believe lakers win in 6 though .

I don't see any value in futures. I like Spurs, but 8-1 not enough. You'd get a higher payout parlaying series prices all the way through

Played Championship futures:

Magic @ 45-1 (prior to start of season)
Wiz @ 60-1 (prior to start of season)
Spurs @ 7-1
Jazz @ 20-1

That is terrible price for Spurs as I said above - parlay series prices will pay more. I THINK Utah is good value there, although you'd have to calculate out future series. Others are ok at those prices.

Yeah I took that Spurs future when they went on a little run in Feb/March and figured I should take it at that price. I actually saw the price go down to 4-1 for a little stretch after I took it so I thought it was a good price at the time. Don't like it as much anymore.
