Not sure why 2 guys hitting alternate shots from tee to green signifies who has the greater golfers, Europe or U.S.A, but if that's what they want so be it. Seems like quite the crapshoot to bet, but McDowell won the tournament at Celtic Manor very easily earlier this year, so I wouldn't play against him in singles or four-ball, that's fo sure.

Tiger actually does not have a good Ryder Cup record.

  10. #10

USA +175, Ian Poulter +900 to score the most points for team Euro. Thems me picks.

sportbooks in england [paddy] already paying off all bets on euros..to me it seems US is at least a good value bet

  20. #20

This could end up as an even match-up so I would definitely go with the USA + money

  21. #21

I've got the U.S. to win the whole shebang (I can understand Europe being the favorite, but +165 is generous, I believe) and Hunter Mahan to be the top point-scorer for the U.S. And my best bet is that I'm not getting up at 3 in the morning to watch it on TV.

  22. #22

Only thing i see with value is Mickelson/Johnson at +105 against Westy and Kaymer. Westwood should be very rusty and Kaymer will shrink in the spotlight like always outside of the PGA. I MIGHT consider taking Overton/Watson as well for VERY small money. I don't see how any team can be that price. Not sold on Harrington but Donald is a player

  23. #23

Padraig Harrington to score most European points (+1000) for me. Harrington and Donald get an EXTREMELY EASY match in the morning with Overton and Watson. I think Harrington plays all 5 rounds because Montgomerie will want to look good. After the squash tommorow, he will def be in the afternoon. If he wins that match, he's going to play the next 3 rounds. 2 out of 3 wins and he's a lock! Maybe even 1.5 points would do it

Me too. This could be a good spot for the USA going in as underdogs. Also, everybody that I speak with is on the Euros; we all know how that usually works out.

  29. #29

I took the USA @+175 at Bookmaker a couple days ago....I see +165 there now.

The Americans have a great deal of talent and can pull off the upset on the Euros.

  30. #30

bet lefty/d.johnson tomorrow...and bubba/overton- wish i could parlay all 4 matches but the book wont let me...i'd take rory / Ghream and woods / stricker

  31. #31

guy I know Overton and Watson are juicy but Overton hasn't played good golf in months and even then it was a short stretch. Watson didn't play good last week either. Save your money for Lefty and DJ

  32. #32

  33. #33

parlays in this event are bad IMO, just never know what the hell will happen for the most part. Does anybody really feel comfortable laying 155 with an unproven Tiger against Ian Poulter and Ross Fisher. I know Stricker is there too, but it will take a decent performance by both to win

  34. #34

I wouldn't do it, but 5dimes will let you parlay Ryder Cup matches

  35. #35

if one of the following guys is the points leader for Europe I will win $ overall. Some more than others. I also have USA +170 to win it all and Lefty/DJ +105 today and Tiger/Stricker -150 (terrible bet IMO).

    Bold=big payout
