I know ND lost to a D-2 (I-AA) school at some point but I don't know which one as it was a long time ago. I thought it was a trick question of sorts.

Actually you are right in the fact that it wasn't a I-AA school. However, overall they are 14-4 vs Carnegie Tech. The school that they lost to is a school they only played once and lost to.
