Default Free money compliments of Pinnacle and Bond, James Bond.

At least James Bond was cool. Barry Bonds is a meatball and probably doesnt even drink martinis.

Anyway, the play here is UNDER.

Barry Bonds number of times he is caught napping in the dugout..... errr excuse me, Home Runs:
    1 Over 35.5 home runs -108
    2 Under 35.5 home runs -108

Seriously wtf?? He might not even make that mnay plate appearances. I see a .257 ba and 24 dingers. Am I wrong?

He hit 5 dingers in 14 games last year.

at that pace 70 games gives him 25

    88......35

    Not a sure thing imo.

    You are not wrong John.

But Pinny are a genius at this sort of bet.

The play is an UNDER for me 2.

You have to think injuries will help the UNDER

How can anyone justify making a play that ties up your money for 200 days?

That is the epitome of a DO NOT TOUCH play for me.

Its probably a bet that not too many cigar chewing bookies are gonna think; whoa Nelly, we got a wise guy! But Barry is a little over the hill, burned out, over weight(ok I'm guessing on this one), and often injured.

You have to HOPE the injuries will help.

There has been no evidence of any erosion in his offensive abilities any time he is capable of suiting up. That's why in his last full season he received more walks that anybody ever has and it wasn't even close.

If you are taking that bet then you are betting on him playing less than 100 games this season.

The bet states "80 game minimum" so maybe it would be a tougher ticket to cash than 1st thought.

i'm concerned that bonds won't be able to play the 80 games that there requiring.

he's 41 years old, and he doesn't play any day games at all. plus on top of that, he's got bad knees.

This is something where you have to ask yourself, "Do I think he won't make 36 HRs because I want to see him fail, or because he's actually incapable of getting the plate appearances due to health."

I can't convince myself that the former is not true in my case, so no play for me.

Well said, Winston. Anybody who genuinely thinks Bonds is not capable of hitting 36 homeruns if he plays more than 80 games is just delusional. The real wildcard is whether or not teams will pitch to him enough to hit 36.

Thats what I was thinking in reading this thread. I would think eventually come October, you would have forgotten that you even made this bet.

It was previously revealed through multiple sources that John's unit size is 100K, so he can put down a nickel on this and never miss the money. He probably already forgot about the bet. He's going to make so much money on baseball this season that even if he does remember the bet he may just let Pinny keep it as a tip.
