    Default Fiber optic internet connection

Verizon Fios. Blows the f!@#ing doors off of your browser. Friend of mine has it. Holy f!@#ing streaming porn Batman. Base model fiber optic connection is ballpark $45.00 monthly. You can go nuclear atom splitting speed for a few bucks more. You'll forget all about upgrading "speedy" Firefox extentions.

More companies have to step to the plate with internet/cable tv services. What a racket the cable company is. In certain areas, most areas you have two choices.....a dish or local provider. Yeah...a f!@#ing racket. I can upgrade to Fios for little more than my cable company offers me DSL. They already tried to push out an upcoming AT&T cable TV move.

I have 4 standard cable boxes, 2 HD receivers that I rent from the cable company. I'm up to like a quarter dime monthly in cable/internet/phone from area cable company. Thats 25K+ over a decade boys I'm paying these dickwads. Question: can I buy my own cable boxes?.....and just buy the signal?

Paying like $50/mo. for Cable, Fios not available in my area.

It's really capped at a certain point, but if I get something at a good clip I can download a 2GB movie extremely fast.

Here are more upload speeds but again you of course have to find a place which will give you a download this fast...

    Speakeasy.net/speedtest results-

Download Speed: 27556 kbps (3444.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 4423 kbps (552.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

This is good to hear JB. I plan on getting Fios this summer. I hate Comcast!!! I already have Verizon as my ISP because Comcast had me down for two weeks with not even a sorry. Went to their office and threw their crap modem box in their window. When the weather gets nice. I will throw their Comcast crap DVR in their window as well. Fios rocks, heard nothing but good reviews about them, I can't wait.

I would love for FIOS to make it here, but not sure on a time table.
