I had it on until Vitale started going off on the Duke haters. "See Duke haters the Devils have only gone to the line once. They don't always get the benefit." Once he started that shit I pressed mute.

I wish I could accurately explain to you how hard I am laughing at this statement and how perfectly I understand and share your violent tendencies in this situation.

It makes me wish I was a filmaker, because I would immediately start working on a project where I would have an actor playing Illusion sitting with another actor playing Illusion's friend watching the Duke/UNC game at Cameron. At least 10 minutes of film would be devoted to Illusion punching his friend in the face. I mean slow motion, fast motion, stop motion, rewind, split frame, etc. Then I would start rotating the faces of Duke players and coaches and Penis Vitale in place of your friend's face and you would punch them all. I swear to God Up Above that I would win awards and great fame for such a production.

The only problem with that is that it is spelled "Redick"

And something tells me he gets any piece of ass he wants thats within a 100 miles of Durham even if his dick was blue in color. Call it what you want, but he is an example of how hard work can pay off because I remeber him as a freshman and all he was was a jumpshooter. I'd take him over all of these so-called athletic freaks that can jump all over the place and are quick as hell, but have absolutely no basketball smarts or shot.

Yes, and we'll see how spectacular those basketball "smarts" are when he is playing in the big league and he flops like all Puke guards do. They're always so smart and get so much ass (like that has something to do with it) and then they "smart" themselves into some kind of horrible off the court accident and teams end up filing massive insurance claims on them. If I'm an insurance company, I'm not offering a policy to whatever dumbass team picks him up in the draft. Go ask the people in Phoenix how they feel about their athletic freak Amare Stoudamire and whether or not they'd rather have Redick. Anyone who thinks that Redick will be a star in the NBA obviously has no concept of the athleticism necessary to excel at that level. Redick's legacy will be as a great college shooter and nothing more than that. Show me an NBA team that counts their "smart unathletic undersized shooter" as their key component. Supposed "smarts" and "shooting" are incredibly overrated skills when it comes to playing the highest level of basketball.

They are all point guards who can handle the ball very well and that does not match well with Redick's talents.

The guy who invented the MUTE button should be knighted or sainted or whatever. Very rarely do I listen to the audio on any televised sports event. Background music works much better: Classical for football, Jazz for college hoops and old lounge tunes from the 50s and 60s for baseball.

Mike Patrick and whoever the other guy is have spent the last 20 minutes railing on anyone who thinks Duke gets more calls. They're not even attempting to be objective anymore.

Oh no, that was The Drunk Patrick that was taking that position. Lenny Elmore actually went back to replay and showed multiple instances clearly detailing the standard inequities while Spatrick just sat back and fumed. Re Dick showed today exactly how great he'll be when he faces NBA defenders who are bigger and faster than him. He was dominated by Marty Collins who happens to be someone who may actually be able to play at the next level.
