Not only from a speed perspective, but an add-on/plug-in as well. There are so many great apps for Firefox. I have an integrated screen capture, the ability to view a page in IE (in FF itself), a speed dial option that allows me to view all my bookmarks on one page...
Firefox to IE is like eating at a fine steakhouse compared to McDonald's.
I always have to post this link in firefox browser discussions.
Firefox Extensions - IE Tab, Faster Fox, etc.

This new Firefox is supposed to be faster and take up less PC resources. I end up using IE because of compatibility but it crashes often.

With the new Firefox beta you can install a plug in called IE Tab which will allow you to click an icon to automatically convert the page to IE.
All depends on what website you are using, no one browser is faster on all web pages.
They are all good
