5dimes - bouncing checks and giving FP back?
Greek- Bounced a check to a client this week?
Alot of people might not like me, but when your the top 10% in the industry, bouncing checks isn't an option. I've never seen an industry where this is acceptable.
Its just a different environment man. The books really cant help it. They are busting their asses to make it work. Blame the government.
The thing is with the A books you know you are going to get paid. They never stiff. They may bounce a check but they will get you the money.
In this environment, an A book can bounce checks every now and then. As long as they keep paying every penny promptly, they should remain an A book. If one ever starts not paying or bouncing over and over again, its time to rethink the grade.
Their checks to people outside the US never bounce.
That shows you where the problem lies.

Of course not. To the people outside the US they can straight up send a check that says 5DIMES SPORTSBOOK on it and its not against the law. Different story here in the states. Although the winds are shifting in our favor a little bit.Originally Posted by durito

5 dimes cuts limits, and has bounced a check last week. I'm sorry but writing back checks is a crime in the US. thats essentially what there check processors are doing. I don't care about the US LAWs. The US Laws are not forcing them to bounce checks. Its simple as that.
Actually, yes they are.
The law forces the processors to shut down every few weeks and change bank accounts.
They don't know when this is going to happen. When they send the check it is good. Then their account is closed when it's in the mail. There is nothing they can do -- surely though they could do a better job communicating with the client -- but it is what it is. All of those books could and did process withdrawls in 4 minutes and never had an issue before this law went into effect.
But every A+ sportsbook has bounced many checks. That is something they can't help. Should SBR demote all the A+ books?
It would be great if the processors could keep up with the checks they send out that are going to bounce and give the client a warning. This would really improve everything. It is a pain in the ass to have a check bounce. Adds weeks to the already long time you have to wait.
What I am going to do and what I advise everyone else to do is to call the sportsbook once you get the check and make them confirm with the processor that the check is good before you try to deposit it.
With the level of customer service at most books they would not advise you the check is bad. They will just tell you that you've been paid. People need to stop living in a dream world.
