Default Someone please explain the Matchbook / WSEX thing

They have the same owner, correct?

I know WSEX is slow paying, but is Matchbook? If Matchbook is paying fine, what's the problem with WSEX? I don't feel safe playing at Matchbook because of this.

People that requested payouts from WSEX as far back as December of last year and still have not been paid is a good indication they are broke.

WSEX DOES NOT OWN MATCHBOOK. They never have.

WSEX still owes a bettor since Oct 09. Meanwhile Matchbook has never slow payed a post-up bettor.

It remains a mystery, but I feel fine with a sizable portion of roll with MB, and some play money that never runs dry over at WSEX....

nobody seems to know for sure. I have asked for answers from sbr and never gotten a clear cut one. It seems certain there was a relationship at one time. Some say they own a large % of matchbook to this day. Chuck says wsex doesnt own matchbook because a worker there told him as much. I wish there were more info on this!

I have to go under the assumption that WSEX and Matchbook are under the same ownership. SBR.com has them listed under the same group:

    World Sports Exchange Ltd.

    Matchbook B- www.matchbook.com
    WSEX D www.wsex.com

Can someone at SBR comment on this??

I am not saying Matchbook is unsafe, but isn't this a risk? What if WSEX throws the towel in tomorrow, you tell me WSEX won't???

    HUH?

So you believe what SBR claims over CHUCK SIMS?

We have had this discussion about WSEX/MB for 2+ years and probably will until 2039.............and Matchbook will still be paying like cloackwork and MB will still be highly underrated at SBR at B-

THE BEST BOOK IN THE WORLD FOR U.S. PUNTERS(MATCHBOOK) and SBR has them at B-

HUH? -- what? I have reason to question this. I am not drawing conclusions, just looking for evidence.

You have provided no evidence. To be quite frank, while I respect your personal opinion it provides me little comfort. With all the collapses over the years, it pays to be cautious. The fact of the matter is that all evidence suggests the book has ownership with a very slow paying book. Sorry, I don't like that. If I recall, Matchbook had some slowpay problems of their own a while back.

Can someone at SBR chime in?

    Let me pose a question........

Taking ALL the posters at SBR into consideration, how much TOTAL MONEY do you think posters have invested in each of the following?????...........

    MATCHBOOK B-
    REBATEWAGER B
    BETONLINE B+

I do not have any idea.

But I'm not sure how this matters? Posters sure had a lot of WWTS and Cascade, etc. those A books that collapsed.

Didn't mean to ruffle you, just trying to help.

The fact is, Matchook's REWARD vs RISK is extremely high for U.S. punters.

For SAFTEY alone, MATCHBOOK would not make my TOP TEN of books for U.S. punters.................but they still remain ranked #1 overall with me.

If safety is your bag..........stick with THRGREEK and HERITAGE

I agree, you know I am a fan of you and appreciate your posts, I am not ruffled...just a little shaken up by the Matchbook situation and it bothers me because I am afraid to play there but want to. I don't have a huge bankroll like some and depend on security from the book, I can't afford to lose a big portion of my bank roll.

Right now I am a member at Heritage, DSI, Bookmaker, RebateWager, Bodog, and Matchbook.

Only have money in Heritage and Bodog and I think Bodog will toss me sooner than later.

    Here is what you do....

Get an account with BETJAM, they do transfers with Matchbook.

Anytime your balance gets somewhat high, transfer half of it over to BetJamaica..........after a few months with MAKING and SAVING money with Matchbook, even if you lost your entire balance at MB if they went belly up, you still would have been better off overall.

BOOKMAKER does transfers with MB also.........bet BetJam is the best to deal with.

whatever the relationship between wsex and matchbook, they're not the same, matchbook is paying on time, in my case and as far as i know for everyone else also, matchbook is a great book or exchange

"Chuck says wsex doesnt own matchbook because a worker there told him as much."

Hayden Ware the owner told me. When Matchbook first opened, he said WSEX had a small interest in it. He said, "We are helping them get started".

Alright alright. I think Fishead put it perfectly - play there, but don't keep a huge balance there. Transfer to BetJM or otherwise withdrawal once the balance builds.

so some guy there told you he was the owner? look- i dont know what the answer is. but to take it as fact becasue some guy told you he was the owner of matchbook is insane. it may very well be true but who knows. and maybe hayden ware is the owner of wsex too? im just playing devils advocate here and i hope your right but the association may be much larger then we would like to believe.

I have more money in matchbook than any other book and every time I've ever asked for a transfer or payout it has been timely.

WWTS did not fold. They closed due to the UIGEA and sold to bodog - no balance losses to anyone

My info is from a couple of months ago...if there has been a change, I havent heard about it. WSEX does indeed own a large chunck of Matchbook period. They have tried to sell to every big book in Costa Rica. The other owners and managing partners in Matchbook have been able to so far seperate the post up division.
