Anyone watch this flick (about poker)?

Very cheesy but I was enjoying it, until he folded that hand! WTF? Ruined the whole movie!

Saw it when it came out on DVD. Didn't really care for it. Poker scenes were too fake and Bana (sp?) is a terrible actor.

How hard would it be to make a really good poker movie? Make something that's realistic about poker and maybe throw in some sports betting.

Yeah it was pretty awful from a poker perspective, but I didn't expect it to be anything more so I was enjoying it for what it was... until that ending. Retarded.

Movie was garbage but if you want to see a real poker gem. Check out "all in". I dont know what it is with gambling movies. They are all terrible. There is a good one but I cant remember the name of it. It had a decent cast, Danny Devito, Forrest Whitaker, Nick Cannon, some broad thats been in a lot of movies, I cant remember her name right now. It was a decent movie.

There is one coming out and the tourney they play is not scripted. Forgot the name but a lot of well known actors in it.

It is a comedy with Woody Harrelson, but the tourney they play is real. Called the Grand.

A friend of mine and I were actually gonna film a poker documentary following our trek from home games to the world series of poker. Stopping at every casino between here and Vegas but we ended up losing our stake money on a Minnesota Vikings game.

California Split has the only realistic poker room I've ever seen in a movie. Not a bad movie, either, if I remember correctly. It's been a long time.

I finally saw it when it came to HBO this month and felt it was not a very good movie. It starts out with potential - makes you want to be sitting right out at Bellagio in the big poker game. But then it gets lame - and more lame as it goes along with a pretty terrible finish.

Even Money, thats right. It was a pretty decent movie. I enjoyed watching it. Danny Devito reminds me of JJ.

that was one of my favorite movie. i really like it how that dude stood up to the bookie and tell his nephew to win the game. very nice ending.

kim basinger annoy the hell out of me in that movie.

I just seen this movie the other day on HBO (I think it was HBO). It had potential, but quickly nosed dived. Plus that ending was terrible. No one folds, no matter if its your father or not.

It could have been decent for what it was, until that BS ending. I was enjoying it even though it was kinda cheesy until that.

Yeah, I kinda enjoyed the movie myself. I guess I just like seeing all that money being tossed around.

It's a good popcorn flick. Anyone that's big into poker will probably have a gripe with it, but it's a lot better than some other poker movies. It did get a little cheesy at certain points but so are most Hollywood flicks these days.
