Default Yankees -- Best Organization in American Sports History

They have, in no particular order,

    1) The most championships (26)
    2) The highest number of recognizable players (starting with the Babe all the way to Mr. Jeter)
    3) The highest net worth (built out of nothing after CBS all but drove them into the ground in the 70s)
    4) The team more people love to hate (why don't they hate the Rays ... I think even MoFo can figure that one out)
    5) The greatest fans in the world (just check out the attendance even when, as so many scholars point out, they haven't won anything in the past 8 years)

Marvel at them. Grudgingly respect them. Whatever gets you through the day, children ...

Do the Cubs, Bears and Bulls have 26 championships combined? One NY team has more than the combined city of Chicago. Damn, that is sad.

They were originally the Orioles, so the Os get half of those championships.

Orioles until 1903, Highlanders until 1913 -- won 0 Championships as either ... then they became the Yankees ... and won 26!!

Damn, making you look stupid is well too easy. But I'll do it anyway.

i think you've actually gone and done the opposite. analyzing and absurdly obvious post doesn't reflect well on you, ma'am.

Didn't take much analysis. But I understand anything over 10 seconds is an eternity to you, Fo.

If you are a HOF'er, I've got to question the requirements for gaining admission. Oh, that's right. Typing skills.

Would give them props if they did this with a salary cap. Basketball has one, football has one, hockey has one....baseball?.....ummmm, no. Thats because George(when he ran the Yankees) said if the League tried to put a cap on baseball, he would shut down the Yankees. What a pussy. He cant compete on a level playing field.

Other sports have salary caps? Really? The Knicks seem to be, oh, I don't know 40-50 million over ... how does that happen? Strange!

And just for the record, the lion's share of the Yankees championships occurred well before the Yankees outspent the rest of the league by leaps and bounds. Check your history books.

Name me one team in all the other sports that have 8 All-Stars on their roster. And I'll be waiting for this, slick.

8 current all-stars? Not the Yankees.

By your logic, if the Yankees signed Mattingly tomorrow, that would add to their list of "all-stars".

Not talking about 8 All Stars in one season,...I'm talking about players who have been All-Stars in their careers and demand sick money, and the Yankees have had them on their roster at the same time.

What is sick money in today's environment? Enlighten me ...

And MoFo, please explain there is more to baseball than SB. Where did you learn such things?

The Dallas Cowboys had 13 Pro Bowlers in the 2008 game.

Well, basketball's highest payroll is 105 mil. NFL highest payroll is 117 mil. What is the Yankee's again? A quarter of a billion.

Red Sox are higher than basketball's and football's highest. So are the Mets. And your point again is?

So, pro baseball can start knocking teams out of the league because they cant carry their weight....but yet, its fair to have no salary cap?

More than once. 8 MLB teams make more than the highest basketball or football franchises ... are you sure you are not related to MoFo>?
