Default Invalid Parlay? Am I missing something?

    Again, Kansas slows them down!
Can anyone please verify if this would be a VALID parlay at their book? I placed the parlay at WSEX last minute and walked away from the computer and didn't notice it was REJECTED: INVALID PARLAY. Upon calling WSEX they told me that's how the system is, and I need to take the issue up with Steve or Cathy. Before I commit my time tomorrow to doing this, can ANYONE please tell me if this is normally an INVALID parlay to put a game line with a 1st half line? I do it at my local bookie, but for some reason WSEX thinks this is not a valid type of a bet to combine 1st half and game lines of the SAME game. Thanks guys.

Well that sucks... I had 2 parlays like that today for the NCAA game and hit them both. Now, no $$$

Correlated parlays are not allowed by some books. (side and total within the same game)

It can be booked, up to the book.

They allow correlated parlays of the side and total, but apparently you can't intertwine the side and total of the end of the game with 1st half bets is what they tell me. I just didn't understand why it's feasible to intertwine side and total of entire game but not with the 1st half bets.

Not sure how I missed that in your original post...I don't see why you couldn't if they allow correlated parlays. I can understand not being able to parlay the 1H spread and the game spread...doesn't make sense to me.

1st half cannot be mixed with game in most books.

    1st half under
    KU ML
That is a valid parlay at most books and would have paid more.

    Reject: Invalid Parlay
CB 1 4/7 KANSAS VS MEMPHIS (CHAMPIONSHIP GAME) KANSAS +2.0
CB 1 4/7 KANSAS VS MEMPHIS (CHAMPIONSHIP GAME) UNDER 145.0
    CB1 1 4/7 (1ST HALF) KANSAS VS MEMPHIS (CHAMPIONSHIP GAME) UNDER +69.5 (-115)

    Reject: Invalid Parlay
CB 1 4/7 KANSAS VS MEMPHIS (CHAMPIONSHIP GAME) KANSAS +2.0
    CB1 1 4/7 (1ST HALF) KANSAS VS MEMPHIS (CHAMPIONSHIP GAME) UNDER +69.5 (-115)

In a way, I can almost understand not allowing the 1st H UNDER and game UNDER to work in the same parlay, but I don't understand the logic in not allowing intertwined 1st H UNDER with game SPREAD when you can normally correlate game spread and under. 1st half is just the exception or what?

WSEX did NOT have a ML KU available on there book at all, I was forced to use the spread cause their ML was OTB.

I don't see why they let you enter it if they don't accept those type of parlays...I know whenever I enter parlays on Betjam that they don't accept it won't let me confirm it.

EXACTLY! If I go to place a parlay it has me check which lines I would like to use for my parlay. Why allow me to form the parlay even if it's a reject? This just doesn't hold any logic in my mind.

did they cancel it before you after you won?

Did you ever actually get to confirm the parlay and have the wager taken out of your account??

According to the OP's first post it was never accepted. Both the parlays he quoted involved parlaying a half line with a game line of same kind, which any sportsbook which didn't want to give money away would reject.

I don't know when. I set up the wager, put in for how much, and placed the bet and then went to watch the game. I do not recall seeing a REJECT, but of course now that issue is WSEX's primary response of defense. The guy I spoke to says he sees the bet as valid given my arguments stated above here, but that it's at the owner of WSEX's discretion on what he accepts and does not.

This is understandable in the 3 play parlay I had because I had alike bets, being 1st H UNDER, and GAME UNDER. But 1st H UNDER should not have any bearing on GAME SIDE. Just my opinion and how it has always worked through my local.
