Default What happens if SBR rating never existed?

If Sbr ratings seize to exist or never did existed, how in the world would a newbie gambler have a freaking clue which book is trustworthy. The Greek for one is of the best books out there, but their betting interface is ugly as hell and probably not browser friendly to the average joe, so most novice would shy away. Sportsbook.com on the other hand has an interactive website, filled up with all kinds of neat promotions, easy to navigate, thus really cool looking, and very attractive.

To my surprised back in 2004, I actually thought sportsbook.com was an A+ book. At the time they were actually processing payout just as fast as anyone. A to C rating at the time really had no relevance's, because all books that had promo's on sports sites were deemed reputable and trustworthy. Without SBR, most average joe's would consider any sportsbook sponsored at Covers or Vegasinsider to be top notch. Books like Betus and Oddmakers claiming to pay fast would the sh!t, until you request your first payout. If we found out that SBR were bought off by SPECIAL INTEREST therefore rendering them irrelevant, would you still have confidence in gambling offshore without a rating system?

More people would realize Bodog sucks.

    I'm kidding, SBR (somewhat).

Trial and error, word of mouth, the internet and various reports already floating out there..

People will build trust a lot faster playing at a Greek/5 Dimes etc than a BetUS, for instance. With good reason too. SBR ratings are really irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, but it never hurts to avoid the "F's"... Some of their D's are pretty safe, whereas some of their A's (Bodog) seem to hold their posts for different rea$on$..

If sbr never existed then there would be allot more people getting robbed.the crooks(books) would run the forums and would be censorship. this was the practice before sbr came a long. the books would pay the small winners and screw the big winners . the so call watch dog sites would be run by the books recommending their own family of books. you can say what you want about sbr ratings not being to your likening.(bodog) at least they do not turn a blind eye or censor you for telling your opinion. i know how the old watchdog forums where run . they would take the sponsors money give them a good rating and a license to steal your money
