Default Tyler Hansbrough and Kevin Love are just college players

the athletes tonight made both of these kids look like mediocre prospects.

maybe? Rose will be top 3, love isn't likely to be top 8. love would be the 5th player taken out of the pac-10 if they all came out.

Mo to me this is the single best way to evaluate talent. These are high pressure times with the talent level a whole lot closer. Funny tonight i was telling a buddy i was really interested in seeing Collison and all his hype and see how he does against someone that isnt a scrub. Well tonight we saw him turn out to be a little over hyped. To me this is what you watch if you are a scout and forget about those silly combines and the rest of that silly shit. I also was interested in Love and Dorsey. Dorsey to me looks like a poormans Cris Wilcox from Seattle. Now if that stiff from Pitt (gray) can make it in the NBA im sure LOve can do something. I saw your buddy from Indiana is going pro. Also saw across the street a guys say he will be a top five pick lol. I didn't get to see a lot of him but what i saw he wasn't a top five pick unless it was the wnba

well, literacy isn't for everyone. I said they 'looked like mediocre prospects'. I said they're just college players. so, what ive actually stated that i don't think either will be much in the pro's and they each struggled a bit with the athletic teams they faced tonight. which part of that is incorrect?

Wilcox is a monster, he dominated Collison and the Jayhawks a few years back in the tourney. Id rather have Dorsey than Love.

    as for your gordon remark..

UCLA got exposed period. Outside of the pac ten, they would have been a 2 seed at best.

    Dorsey = Poorman's barkley/Ben wallace.

    The guy is legit.

He wont do any worse the Noah is doing...

Barkley? I wouldn't go there Big O. Not even a poor version. You have to remember Dorsey has a lot of nice talent around him. Bottem line you take a guy from a Calaparia coached team you are getting a kid that might have learned a few things.

Tyler is 23 bang'n inside against kids who are 19. Tonight he faced some real players, and what did he do? Nothing.

Go ahead UNC Fan make up your excuses... biggest game of the season and he dissapeared like Houdini....

It was kinda funny his dad was nuttin in his pants when they made that 4th qtr. comeback and thinking ol mizzo hick town tyler's gonna show the world how to lead a basketball team to victory, and of course we saw how that went, motherfukers ended up down further in the 2nd half than they started lmao. Truth is whole NBA is weak lately the "stars" have died with the exception of Bryant and James and James play for a team so terrible it's depressing to even watch anyone other than him get the ball (double/triple team James and win the game, the secret is out). You say "mediocre players" well the question is where are the incredible players, who fukin Jason Kidd, fukin chump hasn't made the Mavs one bit better, Nash is fukin overrated white player and team him up with a overpaid exbasketball player in ONeil to fukin go from first to bout 10th in the west. Honestly who is Rose not better than or Douglas Roberts for that matter, I think every bit as good as a Rajon Rondo or fukin Delonte West, I'd draft them ahead of both of those idiots and they act like those shitbags are the fukin future of basketball. Pull your damn rooster out of fukin crackwhores and stuff it in some 7 ft tall black girl and make us the next bryant or james, get to work if ya think current top draft picks are so fukin mediocre.

I hate to agree here - esp. on the hans part of the equation but i have to say that Mo is right. While Hans has a year left I think he will be a 6th man at best in the NBA.

Like Love for the pro game, kind of a David Lee just better

Hansbrough shouldnt be a first round pick IMO

he is not NBA level at all, kind of a Lonny Baxter player, kid with good college numbers but wont compete in NBA

Tyler is just simply bigger than most of the kid he plays against that have his level of ability. Do you know why? Because all the good players of his ability level have already gone pro... When Tyler gets up against someone 6'10 with that kind of ability he will be screwed...

He's a Lattner type of player. Great college player, but won't do shyt in the pro's.

Wow 1 game and the freshman Love is a bust now.

12 points and 9 rebounds against a 38-1 team and he is a bust. Yet Dorsey with 0 points and 15 boards is a must pro.

hes only played 1 game? who is asked to do more offensively? who was on the team that blew the other out?

i'll stick to posts like calling out the easy win on AZ and you stick to crying over free contests. maybe when im 48, i will be doing the same. i can only hope.

Yea no one gets drafted that misses out on the championship game. He's only played 1 game ? shows you do not get crap.

Get over your Ariz pick and answer the real question. How in the hell is the BEST VALUE OF THE YEAR a favorite when you did not get the best line period on the game ?

The knock is not the pick but calling it the best value of the year.

who said anything about the championship game? you said hes only played one game, you don't know anything. i understand what your knock is. the line was as off as any line you'll see and it cashed easily. go talk to someone else, you are a completely waste. your sensitive nature is growing old....i dont need a girlfriend right now.

the fact of the matter is... love is a really talented kid. will not be much of a factor in the nba but is a hell of a college player. he needs to stick around for a few years imo. love got too much love because people watched him all year long in the weak ass pac10 but the media built the pac10 up to be great and they werent. they missed a lot of shots last night but never really deserved to be mentioned in the same breath as memphis. thank the media for costing ucla backers last night. they had all the homers convinced ucla would be the team to beat. they had all the homers convinced that love was the man who would lead them to the promise land. the kid has talent, just not nba talent yet.

Does anyone remember Tyrus Thomas, Hillton Armstrong, Josh Boone, I could go on but these were also household big names that were drafted but cannot get off the bench. No big deal if Love and Hansborough are the same types of players.

When were Boone, or Armstrong mentioned as Naismith finalists? Comapring Boone to either of these kids is kinds strange to see. Same with Armstrong, wasn't he their 6th man in his final season? Did he ever average more than 10 points a game? odd names to pull and certainly not 'household names', but whatever floats your boat.
