Is it just me, or whenever you click on this site, it loads very slowly? I've been having problems the last few days, and sometimes, the site doesn't load altogether.

I did suggest a mirror forum, at least of Players Talk would be useful, but that idea was quickly denounced by Sean who insisted the forum is good enough as $250k is invested into its functionality.

Crazyl, Sean is 100% correct on his thoughts IMO.

The thing our viewers have to remember is the fact that the guys in the office are making improvements to the site everyday. So I don't see how anyone can fault SBR for that, even if their is a little bit of down time every now and then.

Well ... that's not exactly how the "conversation" went down; nor would a mirror solve this individual's loading problem. Let's look at that again and see if we can find where the idea was "quickly denounced" or where anyone "insisted that the forum is good enough":

I think it has more to do with arrogance. The guys feel the setup is good enough and don't need to go about setting one up, and I'll agree that it's been better as of late. If there was any time to set one up, it'd have been near two months ago when the hiccups were almost daily.

Thanks for the feedback, however misguided it might be. The idea of setting up a mirror is something we've discussed for quite some time. Unfortunately, given that we have somewhere in the neighborhood of $250k invested in our current hardware setup, we'd be looking at a similar amount in order to provide a complete mirrored solution.

We have not ruled it out completely ... and, it's quite possible that we'll have a "partial" mirrored solution in place soon. It has nothing to do with any supposed "arrogance" or complacency.
