    Default Booking your buds....

    Pretty much a friend or person you know calls you because they know you have a bookie or the connect, so they call you to bet on a game, usually a dumb 25-50 dollar bet on a team they like or game they wanna watch....when they bet 25 which they usually do, i get them for 30-25 juice (20%) Since in philly a lot of the local books here do this, as in NY it was mainly 27.50-28, not sure what it is now days though.....But they are losing just about every single bet they ask me to book em for, even though i'm winning, I somewhat feel bad. Anyone do this? lol

    I did this with one of my bros....I faded what he puts up if I dont like the pick...If I like it I put his money down....I dont mess with the juice...keep it the same...anyhow it got scary quick he went up like 2g in two weeks...I get limit to 1g a game limit and I was givin him 100 dollars a game limit but he was on fukin fire... I was fadin his picks, and had a bad week and it got ugly quick...I wrote hime a check for 1g saying he could play with the rest and he blew it all....He never cashed the check and now is playin catch up with 70 dollars...Ill never do it again....Bad for a friendship and a gambler.....Im a gambler not a bookie.....for now on

    It's not like i don't have the money to pay or anything btw, they're betting 25 a game. And they actually now know that i am their bookie lol.

    Thats fair...but 25 bucks turns into a full buck in no time....That fever gets everybody, and chasin is a nasty thing.....

    It MIGHT be good for your wallet, but it's definitely a quick way to lose friends.

    I have kept my share of bets that a friend wants me to put in. It felt like an ethical dilemma at first but I got use to it. And when I have doubts, I just think back to when Pauly in The Sorpranos said "I gotta get somethin' out of this"
