Check out this crash that happen today at Texas Motor Speedway, during the Samsung 500 Qualifying. McDowell walked away and is ok. They had to stop the qualifying for over a hour to fix the softer barrier wall.

Yeah that was one hell of a viscous crash...pretty amazing to walk away from something like that.

I cant believe that he is still alive, Im a huge nascar fan and that wreck is one of the worst I have seen.....This is his second race and I will be amazed if he is any good after that.....

It was way worse that earnharts wreck....Sr. Died because he was not wearing the hans device I think with the new car, the safer barrier, the hans it is what saved his life.

I feel the same way, that wall adsorbed a lot of the impact, and without that wall, things would of been much worse.

This wreck shows how the safety precautions are working.
