I don't mind the occasional OT thread, but when every topic is JJ-related BS, the guys flirting with the few female posters or other random crap, the quality of the forum as a whole really suffers. I'll never understand why people pick a gambling forum of all places to post such nonsense. It's not that it bothers me... people can post whatever they want. But there's almost nothing of value to be found on this site aside from Ganch's betting tools. My ignore list is getting so full that I wonder why I even frequent this place anymore.

Ive posted write ups many times and talked about anything that anyone has wanted to. we get tennis talks, hoops, baseball, 2nd halfs and anything else. this place is busy. there is a lot going on but there is still plenty of good info, look at the front page or start some discussion. I spend time getting PMs from people who are upset about free contests, but if you ever want to make a topic about something sports/capping related, i would love to chime in. LK had a ton of write ups, dio, and many others for basketball. there isnt as much right now with baseball, but football will have a ton. lots is coming up and a lot of hardcore sports/capping stuff will be littered through the place.

In many ways SBR's done a great job of increasing traffic and competing with the other forums. It's just that 90% of the threads in "Players Talk" would be better served with PMs between the involved individuals. Why the fuck would I care if it's someone's birthday? Or if someone's going out of town? Whatever. That's always been the basis of what the "Players Talk" forum has been about. But when the specific sport-related subforums are filled with the same crap it's difficult to sort through the few threads that could actually be of some value.

I think it is because there is a lot of downtown when the bets are placed and people are watching the games(scores) and chatting.

There are still a lot of sports related threads and the mods have done a great job of making sure you can find that in the correct part of the forum such as NBA, baseball, etc.

I would recommend looking there instead of sorting through the bs if it isn't what you are into. The players talk section is pretty much a free for all, but it is fun to hang around.

SBR will always take Any serious idea about improving, but avoiding a main forum like this isn't really an option once you reach a certain level of activity. Lots of gambling personalities get together so there is bound to be some ridiculous stuff, i'll be on every single day to talk sports, grade, pass along ideas, or do anything else. when people complain about something that isn't going to change it doesn't help, if people have ideas for the place, lets hear it. I want to have fun with some guys, make some bets, talk some games, and see as many people enjoy their time as possible. there are lots of new things coming like contests for write ups which will see each days winning write up posted on the main page; that should generate some more quality content.
