Any chance of Blue Jays and Cardinals winning their divisions?
I have 10-1 odds on both of them. It just felt right. No inside information, just a gut feel.

I think the nl central is crap this year so the cards have a better shot than people give them credit for. I don't consider the Cubs a real contender, but Milwaukee is young and will be able to finish the season this year. I think if I were to bet it would be on the Brew Crew...and I live in STL

Blue Jays will finish 3rd again. There is no way they beat out the 2 best teams in the league. With that said, for them to win their division, they must also have the best record in MLB. Not happening.

Neither team makes it. TOR has to jump over two teams. STL, while in baseball's weakest division, has a lineup that relies heavily on Pujols and he's headed for a breakdown you have to believe at some point with the elbow. Their pitching staff is rag-tag at best. Even if Carpenter, Clement and Mulder come back and produce, they've got an uphill climb.
Personally, I took the Reds at +3500 to win the NL and the D-backs at +850. Better to go for the Pennant than the division I think because of the wildcard.

We really feel differently when it comes to the Reds, I even have the under of 78 wins against them.

its really too early to rule a team like toronto out. They have a better infield now, and their pen looks to be solid. If they can get some consistency out of AJ they very well could give the East a run for their money.
Only time will tell.

I got high hopes for Toronto but I think STL had their run a couple of years ago -- they are done for a while.

I wouldn't say the Cards are a great team, but even an average team in a horrible division can win. I can't see anyone besides the Cards or Milwaukee winning the division. The reds I don't think have a legit shot.

blue jays could easily win the east if the staff stays healthy and they get a bat before the deadline.

This is how I thought the Jays would play from start to finish. They are starting to heat up. Only 4 games out of first. St Louis is doing me justice.

Jays are 10 games back, but surging. Cards are keeping it close after the big Central trades. I don't think either will win their divisions now, but will keep watching.

The Bluejays have absolutely no chance whatsoever. In fact, it might be less than 0%.....Now if J.P. Ricciardi were to spontaneously combust or something and then his smoldering and vacant position were filled by a General Manager who is actually competent, there could be some hope. But as it is now, it's not going to happen...
In fact, I'd lay better odds on the whole spontaneous combustion thing than the Division title.....
