We are doing some research on this payment method. The obvious advantage is that you can play at some Euro books that do not take Neteller.

Can anyone give their feedback on the method? If the book offers Neteller, why might one choose MB?

Bank wires or credit cards which may reject

Platform is great

Downfall is daily limits

Some books take bookers like Pinnacle

I have a contact in England who had some extreme difficulties using Moneybookers with his Pointbet account. It related to daily limits and getting the money out of there. (I'm sure it was a Moneybookers issue, not a Pointbet issue.)

I recall him complaining that trying to get help from their customer service was nightmarish.

I'll see if I can dig up the specifics or else coax him to post in this thread.

Well here's something:



Just to straighten things out.
The only way I can deposit at Pointbet is to use Moneybookers. Moneybookers apply a "transaction limit" over 90 days. When you reach this limit the a/c is effectively frozen until such time as you can "verify" your bank a/c. Moneybookers do this, by making a nominal deposit in your bank a/c, with a reference number you have to type into the box in your Moneybookers a/c to verify. Still with me?.... simple isnt it? ...oh no it aint.
The deposit reached my bank a/c but there was no reference number, (at least not one that could be seen on my online statement). I phoned the bank and was advised to wait until the paper statement arrived in the post (mail). 3 weeks later, statement arrived, still no number. Moneybookers then took 5 days to respond to my email (a/c there still frozen all this time) saying that if I scanned and emailed them a copy of the statement that would do. 4 days later, they replied to say they cant read the scanned copy.

My problem isnt so much with Pointbet, but Moneybookers.

Never used MB but have heard a lot of moans and gripes about them.

The thing is, I want my money all in one place - having one e-money provider lets me do that. If I have a Neteller account, I can play at 99% of books. If I have a moneybookers account I might be limited to half that - I don't know the actual % but I know that a lot of books don't take it.

If a book offers MB but not Neteller then I simply won't play there. And I suspect a lot of players like me feel the same way.

It's free for me to send $s to books with Neteller, cashouts are free (generally) so the books are absorbing the costs for me. Seriously, MB would have to pay me to use their service - I'm getting Neteller for free already - what incentive is there for me to switch?

Moneybookers really is not needed for American players and plus most Euro books Americans can not play at

Hey Bill, here my 2 cents. Well, Moneybookers is like NETeller to people like myself
who live in Asia. I use to do all my transaction with NETeller but its expensive and
troublesome. When I requested a 1000 USD withdrawal to my NETeller debit card,
I only receive like 975+.. a 20+ USD lost due to a currency conversion from USD
to canadian dollar.

So its $25 lost to conversion + $2 fee.. what whats WORST is when I made a
withdrawal at my local ATM machine.. it debits another fee.. So I would lose like
nearly $40-60 everytime I made a $1000 withdrawal as it varies at times.

NETeller bank wire to international customer doesnt get any easier.. You gotta email
with all your bank informations and wait for them to verify for availability then they
will give myself a call for confirmation and craps. When I asked about the Fee.. they
told me it varies on locations...

Moneybookers is a god sent to people living in Asia. A $1000 USD bank wire cost
only 3 USD. No more hidden charges and money in the bank in less under 48hrs.
One of the downfalls of MB is their sucky CS. They take up to 7 days to reply a
simple email. When you give them a call.. get ready to speak with someone who
is currently sleepwalking. He got a sleepy voice and you gotten repeat your question
twice and stuff.


Conclusion:
NETeller := for people living in N.S America, Canada.
Moneybookers := people living outside of N.S America, Canada.

Webster's right. Moneybookers hold bank accounts in many countries, so if you want to upload your account you do it by local bank transfer which is far less costly. The same's with withdrawals. However those operations take few days
Neteller operations are costly, but: 1. Neteller is more popular 2. debit card payouts are safer if you don't want to report your winning to your tax office

I'm from Europe and every punter that I know who bets online has a moneybookers account. Few use Neteller, although the number of the Neteller users is increasing lately. When you open a moneybookers account you have limits on deposits/withdrawls, unless you send them via email a scanned copy of your credit card (if you deposit money there from a cc), or a scanned copy of the receipt, if you deposit money via bank account.

My personal limits at this point are :
Your credit card deposit limit:EUR 3000.00 / last 60 days
Your outgoing transaction limit:EUR 40000.00 / last 90 days

The fees for a any withdrawls :
1.80 for withdraw at my bank account
3.50 for withdraw with Cheque
2.00 for withdraw at my Visa

I usually withdraw to my bank account. They money goes to my bank account in about 3-4 working days.

Their service is slow on replying emails.
