Westside Pete: Not unless the refs are from the Pac 10. Memphis only lost to a team that was able to attack ruthlessly from the outside at a very high tempo. UNC and Kansas can threaten Memphis. UCLA cannot.

trust me, I have thought this through. the plan is fool proof.

I am going to parlay it with the Heat ML against the Hornets.

If there's a play closer to tipoff I'll take it, if not I've got UNC in a future at 3-1 I'll be sweating out. Haven't even given the Memphis game any thought yet, still very early.

If it's a close game under 5 min I think the Bruins win.... ..if Memphis can bust out a nice lead then all else won't matter and they win going away because scoring is not the strength of the Bruins...Bruins must start good and I feel they will...only Florida the last three years has been able to figure them out in the tourney enough to break away from them in these games...

    UNC seems to be best.

Westside Pete: You are on the right track with the Florida comparison. UCLa only has lost to teams that they physically didn't match up against. Check out the Tigers and see what UCLa is up against physically.

    Wheell,

What are your lines for the final for Memphis/UNC and Memphis/Kansas?

I'm thinking UNC -2' and pickem in the other.

    ucla 135.71
    kansas -2.56

    unc -3.48
    Memphis 159.82

    Memphis 143.92
    kansas -0.87

    ucla 150.62
    unc -4.79

Don't forget the issue of implied odds. If Kansas were to face Memphis it would mean that Kansas defeated UNC. Also, no way the books have the balls to post anywhere near an OU that high in UNC-UCLA. I would be on the over if that game came to pass.

I must say I'm very high on Memphis at this point. I would love to see an UNC/Memphis final with a +160 ml on the Tigers.

Honestly I have difficulty imagining Memphis getting that big a plus sign, but if that is what Kansas backers can get, I suspect Memphis backers will see similar odds.

It's a terrible idea to parlay everything with a game that is close to Pick'em. Even hedging is unattractive at those small odds.

I know nothing about the regular season but Memphis has impressed me more so than UCLA in the tournament. However the trend I see indicates Ucla is coming up to a big effort. Thats enough for me to stay away from Memphis. UCLA has not played any where close to the talent thats there so far. This is a tough call!
