Love is a freshman and is barely 19 years old. He'll be a multi-millionare with a long career in the NBA..

    Love is faaaaar from overrated.

I'd take Love and Hansbrough as my backup big men in the NBA any day of the week. They might not be starting caliber, but their energy and court-sense would do wonders for an NBA 2nd unit IMO.

Love isn't any faster than half of the guys on SBR.

Doesn't matter how fast he is or what not, he has great basketball instinct and IQ, not to mention he is an unbelievable passer and can hit the outside shot. He will do just fine in the NBA. Look at the year this guy is having? Overrated?

will be one of the few white boys from the states to be a good pro

Not to say he will be a 12 time all star, but I do see him having an above average career. If Xavier was winning this game by 10, you wouldn't have even posted this.

Hank Webber would do better in the NBA than Love

doesn't matter how fast you are? who are the slowest successful players in the NBA? He'll never sniff and all-star game, but people make him out to be some basketball god. hes entirely overrated.

incorrect. ive posted it before when i watched him play. when i see something, i post it. lets not pretend you are a detective, i'll tell you what i think when i do. i watched the kid play, he won't be a good nba player. brian cardinal has a high basketball IQ as well.

Uh..I wasn't even talking about you? I was talking to 5 star No need to get upset, nor no need to state your opinion as if it is fact. It's not

Mofo you're wrong about Love, just like you were wrong about UCLA losing to Xavier. He's a 6-10, 19-year old freshman who is strong inside and can drain 3s.

Oh, well it was pretty clear who you were talking to.

Im not upset and obviously you're not a mind reader.

I'll state my opinions as i see fit. no projection is a fact, who said it was?

Love will make zero all-star games. that is incorrect?

He will take that multi-million bonus check for signing and sit on the bench for a couple years, What's wrong with that?

Love is a very talented player, he seems like a great person, and he has had a great year. why people get so up in arms over the fact that i believe he'll stink in the nba...who knows. i don't see anyone who cant run, other than yao, who is an above average player.

Even if he's overrated as a pro prospect (most people have him as a late lottery pick), he's certainly not overrated as a college basketball player.

Hansborough and Love both wont do much at all in the NBA. NBA is far to fast, athletic, for both of those guys

yes, thats true. i don't think anyone has suggested that hes not a great college player.

its funny to see people get so into these little debates and a little pantload try to hype everyone up to get angry because he's got some personal issues. this is a good debate, we'll see who is right and who is wrong in the years to come. no one knows whats going to happen, thats what makes the threads enjoyable.

You're right, no one here has actually said that.

It just seems like most people understand that both Love and Hansbrough are dominant at this level, and won't be dominant at the next level. But that doesn't keep everyone from going on and on and on about how awesome Hansbrough is. Maybe it's because he plays on the west coast, but I don't hear nearly as much praise of Love from the talking heads.

I hear much more nutting over Love than i do Hans. Both are amazing college players and Hans has been discussed on here many times. No one takes it personally when people say he wont be a good pro, but some seem to take it personally when you talk about Love. Some people seem to have some sort of little-man-syndrome about the Pac-10. No reason for anyone to be defensive, its just discussion. I hate duke/bama/fla/notre dame more than i hate anyone, but some people would have you believe that i tried to nuke the west coast.

If you combined their talents, they would just be a worse Kevin Love.

The problem with arguments like this is that often times, people have very different views of what an underrated/overrated impact in the pros would be. From what I've heard, most "experts" see him as being a solid role player, or a borderline starter in the NBA. Therefore, to say he;s underrated IMO would mean you think he's going to be a 10 min/game player on a mediocre team.

The same people that say Love is the real deal, are the same people that say OJ Mayo is overrated. And so on and so forth...One man's Paul McCartney, is another man's John Lennon. Time will tell.

Love will have a career in the NBA no doubt. He probably won't be an ALL star but he will make an impact.

I don't think anyone is really expecting him to be an ALL-Star anyway.
