Just make sure you understand the terms of the bonus before depositing. You usually have to rollover your money at least a few times before you can withdraw the bonus.

The roll over like 5x is what I do not understand?

    rollover = wager

If you have to rollover your deposit 3 times for a bonus offer, then that means you have to make bets to the value of 3 times your deposit.

So that means if I start with $500 then I must bet $1500 before my bonus is added or is it 3 times my $500 plus the bonus?

    Thank you, Paul

Good point pjesnik. El Guapo see Davids post about terms and conditions. Always check the terms 'cos some of these sneaky fuckers will want you to roll over both the deposit and bonus. But you seem to be correct in your understanding otherwise.

Thank you for the help. It makes me think that a matchplay bonus might be better or am I wrong?

A cash bonus is worth more than a match/freeplay bonus.

Normally matchplay bonuses are higher than cash bonuses. If used properly a cash bonus of 10% equals a matchplay bonus of 8.5%.

Not all books allow parlays but if they do use your matchplay in a 3 team parlay.

Depends on how you can use the matchplay. I posted this in another thread. If you can use your matchplay other than straight the expected value of the matchplay is approx. 85% of the matchplay.

If you deposited $1000 and took 10% cash it's worth $1100. If you take 20% match play it's worth $1170. Comparing cash to match play. 100/85 = 1.176. This means if you get a 10% cash bonus it equals 10 * 1.176 = 11.76 % match play.

    ---------------------------------------

Most times it is better to take a 3 team parlay but you can make a case for the scalp/dog method becasue you win more often but less money each time. You have to play with the numbers and determine if you want to put some of your own money to dog scalp or just use the houses money to parlay.

Here's some math using true odds for parlays and ML scalp. Because you are not going to get 7-1 on 3 team parlays or a ML where you can find a +600/-600 you have to play with the numbers. Most likely you will get 6-1 and +350/-400.
    -----------------------

3 team parlay with a $100 free play. A 3 teamer will hit 1 out of 8 times. Using true odds

    1 win = +$700
    7 losses = $0

Win $700 in 8 tries or $87.50/free play
