ABC News laughable where 2 NCAA girls basketball players were bragging about degrees
Grant you that the majority of NCAA mens basketball players attend college as an afterthought just concerning themselves with basketball and not academics where they know they are taking fluff courses and won't get a meaningfull degree even if they did graduate. At least in major NCAA mens basketball, the players make a profit for the college where the womens program just drains money from the tax payer and kids paying full tuition.
So tonight on ABC News that just ended they had a survey putting NCAA womens basketball players on a pedastal saying that they graduate in much, much bigger numbers than their male counterparts. The 2 women they interviewed who were strutting like banty roosters over having graduated got degrees in sociology and communications.Talk about absolute worthless fluff degrees where the only jobs you are going to get resulting in graduating are going to be government related working in some makework job burdening the tax payer even more. These women have no shame!!!!At least the men know they are no geniuses and quit the charade of going to school when their basketball is over.

A degree is a degree. It could lead to grad school. People are proud of accomplishments.

If a tree falls in the woods and there is no one there to hear it,does it still make a noise,,,,,hmmmmmmmmm, maybe parents should think twice before paying socialist hippies 60K in tuition to teach their kid that crap!!!
Getting a degree in chemical, electrical and structural engineering is like owning a blue chip stock and getting a degree in liberal arts social engineering is like owning a penny stock worth .0001 of a penny.
Do you know what you do when you get a degree in social sciences, you give away free tax payer dollars to people that are just as smart as you who finished the 5th grade.
Imus a year ago was right. All these womens basketball players had a couple fatherless kids when they were 14 and now they are touted as brilliant student athletes that are achieving greatness.

Yeah, 5th grade. Any more bridges to burn? I'm sure you were one of the few who really made it big.
A lot of hatred towards ladies. Your sorry ass must have been dumped by a troll.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in International Communitcations with minors in French, English, Phychology and Juvenile Justice. I am currently the Feature Editor at a newspaper, the Editor of a magazine published by that same newspaper, an NFL columnist and more. If you want to call that "fluff,: I'd care to debate the issue. With my "fluff" degree - good money says I verbally squash you like a little bug.

A degree is a degree. Communications is a great degree to have. Nothing wrong with any type of degree you get.

Well the reason there are more women athletes obtaining degrees is because no one is knocking down thier doors offering them millions of dollars to play professional sports. They finish school because they dont have the same opportunities that the male athletes have.
