I'm somewhat surprised that there aren't more posters around my age on here. I hope that doesn't indicate a correllation concerning the life span of a gambler.
The few good things about being at my stage in life:
No more child support.
My kids are over 18 and I'm no longer legally responsible for their actions.
Grandchildren.
Four more years 'til retirement and a pension...eight more years 'til I can get into my 401k and IRA.
Having a house that will soon be paid for and a mortgage payment that is now about 10% rather than 25% of my gross monthly income.
There seems to be more available women (I think the life expectancy of the sexes comes into play here) and you don't have to play those stupid games with most of them like you did when you were younger.
I won't get into the downside...wouldn't know where to start.
