    Default What is your Bankroll?

...since mostly everyone on this site is brutally honest, which is a good thing. I just wanted to see what all you guys are working with as far as your online gambling bankroll, also state how much of that bankroll you honestly bet on a given game, i'l start off...mine is a measly $783 and i typically bet on average of $15-25 a game.

He maybe ultra conservative, but I feel he is moving in the right direction.

My BR is close to five figures. However, most of my plays are .56% of BR

850 dollars. Will increase it to 1500 during baseball season

Bet about 50-60 dollars a day. Bases up to about 75 bucks a day.

I have a day job, but I hate it.

I'm as square as a chiclet when it comes to all sports but baseball.

Try to maintain a dime for the week, and only cash out whatever I double or more for that amount by Sunday, or no pay for me. Bet $50 min or more per par 2 on all basketball games. Straight bet $100 min on most Football bets, and All MLB Games.

I only invest in the NFL and this year my bankrole will be $12,500. I usually invest in one game per week and I'm willing to use 8% in weeks 1 and 2, 10% in weeks 3-14, and then back to 8% for weeks 15-17. One week during the year that I have deemed my game of the year I will place an extra 5% on that game. Last year I had $25,000 for this operation but had a terrible year and lost half of the bankrole. After 6 consecutive years of building the bankrole from $1500, I guess one down year is acceptable, but I will be making some changes in my handicapping this year.

here in lies a problem. being underfunded.

i guess most just play for fun. if your being serious about this and want to run this like a businees, you cant start on a shoe string. Would you open another business for such paltry sums.

Not knocking anyone that just enjoys having a little fun but no shot at the bigtime.

treat it just like any other business. you need start up capital or simply treat it like an investment but to make money (as in any endeavor) it takes money.

    carry on men.

btw: (20k) with (10k) in use and the other (10k) in reserve.

Now THAT is the first truly honest thing I've ever heard. Guarantee a pick and you are already proving your square as **** and prolly long since barrelled in. My bankroll is 6k and I bet between 100-200 a game, which may be poor MM but since my bankroll was 2k last month it's all good.

ya thats understandable,im in the same boat as you...the only reason i was shocked when you said you were only betting $5 was because i remember u saying you constantly withdrew 1K checks from bodog, and i would think thats so hard to accomplish betting only 5 bux that u do

About $1500 (start of week up $406 this week)....Built up from 500....Ill bet anywhere from 200-500 a night total all games...Tonite Im in for $429 over 6 bets....If Louisville hits foul shot down the stretch vs. OK. it could have been so much more...Put all last weeks winnings on that over with a local and he doesn't push ties (on totals) so I lost it all but 8 bucks

JJ, its the real reason that most dont even know. they have more money than you, they can outlast you. but there are ways to help the situation.

You are right. Sometimes when you are 'barreled in' and can only get your hands on 400 or 500 bucks, you are just thinking let's go in double up mode a few times. When I save money and deposit bigger I can't help but think of every penny I've lost so I still bet over my head.

    Money management is difficult.

usually bet 750-1250 a nite when units sizes are $50 and between 500-1000 when unit sizes are $25. I've currently dropped unit sizes from $50 to 25 for the end of the basketball and hockey seasons and beginning of baseball....in June will bring up baseball units to $50 again...tonite looks like around 750...
