Do small straight bets until you get more experienced at handicapping...it doesn't do any good to even do Round Robin parlays if you cannot hit a decent percent of your plays. Track your plays for a couple months and see where you stand.
thanks for all the replies so far...lately, i'm having a bad run on my parlays...normally i have 2 series of 2-team parlays...i normally get 1 pick correct on each parlay...so it's the pairing that's killing me...
That is where straight bets come into play...parlays are good plays if you feel you have a good edge on all the plays. Hitting 50% of parlays gives you a 100% loss of your money risked while hitting 50% on straight bets you only lose the juice.
