he says he only busts it out for Kentucky and Vandy, but im sure he'll wear it once we're in the final 4.

honestly, i feel badly for the Louisville kids. They tried really hard all year and it's a shame they'll have to end their season with a loss. imo, those kids get an A for effort.

Tenny got totally outplayed and had superior talent against Butler

He is a great cheerleader and motivator that is all

Tenny will never win anything with him, they need The General

He could not tie Rick Pitino's shoes, let alone out coach him.

Don't forget that fact that they have no point guard going against the best press defense in the country.

I have to say, I have Tennessee in the Final Four in my bracket, but after watching the first two rounds of the tourney, I don't see them beating Louisville.

Louisville is firing on all cylinders. I know a win is a win, but Tenn could have lost to Butler in that game, and I think Louisville has all the confidence in the world going into this game. Louisville is just as talented as Tenn, and has the coaching edge in my opinion.

Should be a great game to watch, that is for sure.

butler also gave florida their biggest run for their money last year and what did florida end up doing? butler was a top 10 team that just so happened to be a 7th seed this year...teams just arent use to big men able to slip outside all day and drain the kicks through penetration all day long...they always give teams (good and bad) a tough time

Tenn is a very talented team,

They just have alot of similar players on the squad.

They don't have pg or a dominate center.

They have a ton of freak wing players combined w/ a lights out shooter in Lofton.

Tough team to beat but its a great matchup for us.

We are much more well rounded, as for the coaching matchup, well you already know

You like many have little to no respect for Butler. They were easily the worst snub by the selection committee by putting a 29-win, 10th ranked team as a 7 seed. They should have been at worst a 5, really should have been a 3 or 4. Yesterday's game was the first time since 1985 that two 30-win teams had met in the second round. Butler starts four seniors who execute team, fundamental bball better than any other team in the country. It was the ultimate contrast of styles. Yet TN won without a decent game out of either of their shooting guards (Lofton and JaJuan Smith) while playing a wing at PG for the first time all season.

If you think TN got that outplayed, I suggest you stick to sports that are easier for you to comprehend.

According to Ken Pomeroy, Lville is 156th in the nation at creating turnovers. TN is 23rd.

So how did you come up with Lville having the best press defense?

    um,

Louisville's frontcourt is one of the best/deepest in the country.

    3 NBA players
Earl Clark -Lottery Pick after next season.

DCaracter - If he stays he'll go first round.

    DPadgett - will get drafted.

And Juan Palacios is a solid player as well.

    Your way off here dude,

I can't believe that stat is true at all. We hold teams under 37% shooting and under 60 points. (BTW against the #6 toughest schedule in the nation)

Tennesse might just give teams much more possessions because they run and gun, but that stat if true, defintly does not tell the hole story.

    BigGame,

Where do you see that stat?

In all fairness, Louisville ranks 5th in adjusted defensive efficiency while Tennessee ranks 24th (which isn't too shabby either out of 341 teams).

Also, Tennessee is the 4th "Luckiest" team in the country.

You and BBall knowledge don't seem to mix well, no offense.

Lville's press is for three main reasons. 1) Create turnovers, which they're 156th at. 2) Slow down transition offense. 3) Make offense work harder and thus create fatigue.

The bulk of the DFG% for Lville is thanks to their tough matchup-zone half-court defense. They do a good job of confusing offenses because it looks like they are in a man-to-man but they collapse like a zone. But it really is a zone, which means the free-throw line and elbows will be open. Which is where Tyler Smith will be operating.

Look at Lville's losses this year, it's usually due to a huge game by a small or power forward. In other words, Tyler Smith.

By the way, TN played the hardest schedule in the country.
