Default Question about the Sports & Spreads...

What types of sports do you find to be more predictable & profitable - from a sports betting perspective?

    1. Fixed Spread Sports: Baseball & Hockey
    2. Loose Spread Sports: Football & Basketball

    Any takers...?

There is a difference between predictability and profitability.

True... it's only profitable if it's predictable (and you're willing to put up the cash).

From a capping perspective, I'll take a halftime NBA line over any other. It's you versus the linesmaker who has to make a play on a game he didn't watch. With baseball and hockey spreads there are more books copying and trying to stay within range of the top books.

"Predictability" just means that you'll see +160/-190 instead of -110/-110.
