Also, once verizon has iPhones will you get one or will you be happy with the Droid?

No offense but there are a ton of these threads. Everyone that has either is biased towards it. I have the iPhone 4 and couldn't be happier. I have it because its simply the best phone on the planet.

I worked for apple for the last year so obviously im biased, i hae seen a few droid phones that are cool but there is just nothing as fluid as the iphone operating system, and the app selection will always be far better.

I don't know if you remember me but I met you in the elevator at the Golden Nugget.

While I was at the bash my Verizon HTC phone went to shit. I had to get a new phone and I went with the Droid 2. The Droid X was on backorder.

Overall, I'm completely happy, mainly in part because I dumped my HTC garbage. The 3G is fast, the Apps are decent and I like the fact that the Droid 2 has a keyboard (one of the reasons I like it over the Droid X). The Droid 2 has a more updated OS, but supposedly the Droid X should be getting the same very soon.

If you like smaller phones, the Droid 2 has an advantage over the Droid X because that sucker is huge with a larger screen. However, that Droid X got a better camera and camcorder which has a HDMI connection.

I can't compliment on an iphone because I dislike Apple/Macintosh products in general, so my opinion would be biased.

Apple is marketed....it has no edge over the X outside the "more app" claim which in itself is nonsense (anybody can publish an app).


IN the end....the phone is only going to be as good as the user.

3GS only. 3G was brutal. 4 is great to be honest. A lot of negative publicity for no reason.

i'd get the iphone, it's so nice compared to the droid.. well depends on your taste in the end. I like apple's simplicity.

My buddy has that droid phone with the kickstand and he loves it. Only drawback is the battery life. I have the Iphone and love that. Just go to gizmodo or engadget and compare the two.

The best phone on the market is easily Samsung's Galaxy S Vibrant. Its specs are better than anything out there, and it has the largest, highest resolution display available. This phone is in a class by itself.

yeah, battery life is the only fault I have heard from my buddies that use the droids.


My friend was saying all apps are free with droids, while iPhone apps you have to pay for. How much truth is there to this?

I know for a fact that not all apps are free. Just like Apple, they have apps from 0.99 cents on up.

There are alot of free apps for the droid. I haven't even looked into the ones that you have to pay for.

It seems like battery life is a problem with all 3G smartphones so there's no edge on that.

I wonder if when Verizon does have the iphone will they change their plans like at&t did.

I just got the Sprint Epic 4G. It has Android and a slide out keyboard. It's a little wide but very light.

I recommend it highly.

I have the Droid incredible and it's great! faster then the i phone 3GS and really smooth with no glitches. I like the touch interface better then the i phone too. But thats just my opinion.

A jailbroken Iphone is the only way to go. I will probably switch to Verizon when they start carrying them, if the plan is comparable.

I think you're right JJ. Seems about 50/50 on this one. I will just have to play around with my friends phones before I decide.

I just had the same decision to make and went with the Droid 2. I couldn't be happier. For what it's worth everything with SBR works great except for the security token error on my posts via the droid. Everything loads quickly and accurately (including the odds and contests sites). All in all I give it a .
