I agree with you on Texas being overrated every year, and would agree with your play on this one.
the bad thing about baylor this year is that, baylor didn't have really a pre-season schedual this year at all.

Texas is not overrated...I've watched them play at least ten times this year...they will be a number one seed, and they deserve it...

ORO1960, If your looking for undervalued teams that could reach the final 4 check out Pitt and Ohio St. Both just starting to get respect. Pitt beats everybody on the glass, and if Krauser shoots well they are near impossible to beat. Ohio St is a replica of last years WVU. They live and die by the 3, but if they're hitting it in the tourney they could make a run. Also, a Big Ten team makes the Final Four every year I think Ohio St has a good a shot as any of them.

Texas for whatever reason does not play good team ball. They have a lot of good 1 on 1 players and can run a little but get them up against a stout defensive team and they are in trouble.

dan,
yes, I did watch UT vs. UT...Tennessee caught Texas sleeping right after they got their asses kicked by Duke one week earlier (I could be wrong on this)...Lawson and the boys shot the lights out, but that doesn't look like that bad of a loss now as Tenn. is in the top 18 or so in the country...you've got Paulino, Aldridge, Tucker (stud), Buckman and Gibson...they may have some issues regarding depth, but they are a powerhouse for sure...other than Memphis, Duke and UCONN, I don't know that there's a more talented team out there...

I'm not sure if anyone has paid attention this season, but Tennessee is one of the most athletic teams you can possibly go up against. Beyond that, they have a good amount of talent that is developing well in their new system. They are undersized but only a few teams can really take advantage of that. Without a doubt, they are more than capable of dominating just about any team without a powerful lowpost game. Evaluating Texas lightly based on their performance versus Tennessee is a capping error.Originally Posted by bigboydan

True, but so is West Virginia.Originally Posted by imgv94

What will hurt Texas a bit, I think, is the state of the Big 12 this year, but they're still a very capable team.
