I said this before but I still like the direction of the SBR forum. SBR is now letting all opinions stand whether they agree with SBR or not. I think that this leads to better discussion as posters feel free to post their honest opinion. Nice job SBR.

I think SBR took to heart what I said last week about giving certain posters "tenure" so that they can raise sensitive issues without fear of being restricted, drowned out, or kicked out all together.

I would say right now...about 4 or 5 posters deserve tenure on this forum.

SBR forum has always allowed a free exchange of ideas. As a former mod here, I can tell you I never had any pressure put on me to take any particular stance on anything. From what I have seen since then, that has not changed.

BuddyBear, I like you - you know that - but I hate your idea about tenure. I suppose I would be one of the people who qualifies but I would rather be accountable for every new thing I post than have some kind of special treatment based on the date I signed up. Sorry but that makes no sense to me.

Con men always try to turn it into a free speech issue when they are called on their con. I'm glad SBR sees through this.

I frankly think things are a little too lax in the area of personal conduct sometimes. It is usually fairly clear when an on-topic discussion shifts to name-calling and personal attacks - and there should be warnings IMO. Maybe that is happening behind the scenes but, if so, it must be some kind of thousand strikes and you're out policy.

But I'm not meaning to be overly critical. Just like my own business where, no matter how well things are going, I am always pushing for continuous improvement, I see some things on this forum which IMO could use fine tuning.

But that doesn't mean SBR isn't the best forum I am aware of. It is.
