i was playing poker at the pool hall perty much most of the day today. so, i didn't have time to bet on anything today.

One of our celebrated moderators here at SBR can be found in pool halls playing poker to such an extent that he is unable to place any wagers on sporting events during the course of an entire day!?!?! What a picture! Is he auditioning for the modern day Vince in "Color of Money"?

man, i was counting on you having seen that one. to be honest i own the dvd because it is a spectacular movie. it may be the only movie in which i really enjoyed tom cruise. he was the perfect 'vince'. still is if you think about it!

yes, the hustler moves at a slower pace but has its own merits and really the two movies aren't comparable. paul newman was a master in both, and depending on your mood, either one can often be a better option than the other.
