One of our celebrated moderators here at SBR can be found in pool halls playing poker to such an extent that he is unable to place any wagers on sporting events during the course of an entire day!?!?! What a picture! Is he auditioning for the modern day Vince in "Color of Money"?

Hey John, can you get BBD a tight black t-shirt that says "Dan" in white letters? I would suggest he do it on his own but I'm worried he'd misspell it.

Yeah, I hope he doesn't take me too seriously...

I fear that BBD along with others don't always appreciate my late night humor.

    whew!!!

man, i was counting on you having seen that one. to be honest i own the dvd because it is a spectacular movie. it may be the only movie in which i really enjoyed tom cruise. he was the perfect 'vince'. still is if you think about it!

yea, it wasn't a bad movie at all. i felt that that movie was better than "the hustler" that he made 26 years prior to this one.

yes, the hustler moves at a slower pace but has its own merits and really the two movies aren't comparable. paul newman was a master in both, and depending on your mood, either one can often be a better option than the other.
