    Default best names in sports

Kevin Pittsnogle has to be one of the better names in sports right now. over the years i've seen some real good ones though.

back in the 90's i remember there were a couple of college hoops players that had some really names. Scienticific Map, and Peno Pipes were a couple i can remember offhand.

As I recall, Scientific Mapps also had a brother named Majestic.

In a similar adjective-for-a-first-name vein, there was Wonderful Monds (who played football if I'm not mistaken???). I think in fact that his full name was Wonderful Terrific Monds. I remember hearing that there is a Wonderful Terrific Monds Jr. trying to make the big leagues too.

We have a baseball player on the Canadian national team named Stubby Clapp. I heard an interview with him and it's not just a nickname; it's his legal name.

Of course there is Nascar driver Dick Trickle.

    Football player, I.M. Hipp.

I'm sure that Russian Figure Skater, Irena Slutskaya's name has prompted many wisecracks in the English speaking world.

Wasn't there a female athlete named Misty Hymen? Something like that.

There was pitcher Mark Lemongello. It's not an all-time classic name but entertaining for the kids.

    Oh and Dick Pipecock.

Okay I made that last one up.

I was always a little too amused by the name of longtime CFL player Jock Climie (pronounced climb-ee). I'm not sure why. I guess it's because I always thought it sounded less like a name and more like a medical condition.
