    Default forex question...any experts here?

if you're trading fx today, you'll notice the bid/ask spread is higher than usual...more than double for some major pairs. i talked to the advisors, they told me it is the liquity issue caused by the bear and stearn buyout, and it should be back to normal "shortly". it is just only investment firm going under, other firms are business as usual, so why there is a liquidity problem in the fx?

spread for eur/usd pair is still pretty high right now...not trading until the liquidity is back to normal.

Bear handles (or handled) a huge volume of the clearing operations for equity broker dealers and institutions. I'm assuming it's probably a similar story within the FX marketplace.

thanks. if that is the case, the liquidity won't be back for a while. eur/usd will have a steady 2pips spread for a while

I don't ususally do retail, but if I do I have fxdd, fxcm, and forex.com. fxdd is the best one out there, fxcm and forex suck. I trade primarily on the floor, retail is for suckers.

If you have an interest let me know.

don't have the time or the money to do floor. i only got couple of g to play around for beer money, and oanda usually has around 31k Euro liquidity on the either side of bid/ask at 0.9 pips spread, so that is enough for me right now.

forex.com is not good at all. almost 3 pips margin for eur/usd currency pair...and 1.5 pips margin for active trader...not good at all.
