Which is laughable, the AP or the selection committee? I assume you're talking about the AP.

    7 is about right.

The fact that are 10 is a joke.

The seeding is ridiculous. Butler should be higher than a 7. they went 29-3 and gave Florida their toughest game of the tourney last year in the sweet 16.

Butler beat the vols handily last year at MSG. Unfortunately for butler, they don't advance past round 1 of this event. Vols over S bama.

Yeah, 7 is definitely right. Oklahoma DEFINITELY is better as a 6. NOT

Butler goes down in the first round, to South Alabama.

This shows just how irrelevant the rankings are. It's all about numbers (RPI, SOS, conference affiliation, quality wins/losses, etc..). The way the rankings work is as long as you keep winning you keep moving up. There is no rigerous logic to that. About 5 years ago there was a team ranked in the Top 25 who didn't even make the tournament.

People get obsessed with rankings thinking they are legit...sorry to say, they aren't.

That's why a lot of guys profess absolute disbelief when they see Purdue only -2.5 against Baylor. In fact, LVSC has Purdue listed as the most overrated team in the country. Anyway, the way the postseason is set up is the best possible way to determine a champion, so we'll see how good Butler and others are.

WOW LK1, that's twice you went against one of my teams that I have going pretty far in the first round. And both times with Sun Belt Teams!

actually, Mofo, Oregon gave Florida their toughest game last year (Elite 8) not Butler.

That's laughable unless your definition of champion is rather bizarre.

Seems like the early games were harder for Florida than were the Final Four games....

Horford had to hit ridiculous shot after shot along with the French giant nailing all his FTs to get back on top after trailing nearly the entire way vs Purdue.

Butler gave them all they wanted and more as well though.

I got Butler in the Elite 8. I think the South Alabama game might be the toughest since they are the favorite. I like them in the underdog role against Tennessee and then Louisville. We'll see

I thought Purdue played Florida pretty tough. Landry gave them a hard time.

On to this year. Mike Green is by far the most underrated player in the country, so Butler is not going anywher. Tennessee should have trouble without being able to control the pace

Ha, I got quite a bit of upsets in my bracket this year. Both spots are good places to take a shot for the upset, because even if Butler or Drake win I don't think they have any chance to go deep.

I've seen Western and S Alabama play and dont let the week schedule fool ya.

Dam, I wish it was thrusday now!!!!!

    Can't wait!!!

I just couldn't put UNC over Louisville however, and then i got 'em meeting Gtown in the final four. We can win that one, and then UCLA in the finals. THAT's THE TEAM I WANT TO PLAY, I'd rather be the 4 seed out west, then the 3 seed in the east.

this is the only game i havent decided on in my bracket in the east...but im leaning on s bama to upset...all 10 seeds MIGHT advance into the second round!!!!!!!!

look at it...davidson could easily knock off zaga...st mary's can match up w/ miami and zona could beat wvu out in the west!
