In December I closed my account in Wager web when they said i had to wager 5 times the amount of any prop wagers in other wagers. I read on sportsbookreview that the policy has changed. I later called wagerweb and they said the policy has not changed. Any info?

WagerWeb receives second upgrade in two months, resulting in jump from C to B-. In a recent conversation with SBR, WagerWeb ownership talked of implementing friendlier policies and agreed to eliminate a procedure where accounts are temporarily locked until the user confirms that he/she understands betting restrictions placed on proposition wagers. Recent player feedback has otherwise been positive.



The wording is imprecise. It doesn't actually say the Mickey Mouse Props Policy is being scrapped. It just says they aren't going to go to the same lengths to assure that restricted players understand what is happening. Which isn't saying much when you get right down to it.

Some clarification would be good.

I know this is false because they said I would have to wager 5x any prop bets. Sportsbookreview can you look into this?

To be fair to the book, you might have been chatting with a CS rep who didn't know anything about the history.

That aside, it would be nice for Wagerweb to clarify exactly what the policy is. If it's x10, x5 or x0 at all then they should just be upfront with the policy - based on that, you can make your decision to play there or not.

UPDATE: I called Wagerweb today and they said that they have not changed their policy at all and when I told them about what I heard on SBR about their policy they denied anything. They still make winning players wager 5x their prop bets on any other wagers effectively forcing you to bet on games they want you to bet. This is a loser only book. They offer nothing that good books like pinnacle or thegreek.

Many books limit players in different ways. The issue with WW was if they didn't like your action they would freeze the account, locking you our of your funds. This is not an acceptable way to deliver a message.

The new policy, per the book's owner, is to limit players with the software like a recreational book; no freezing of accounts.

If they do not like your prop action, the procedure would be to implement a $0 prop limit. You can then call, be informed of the required betting ratio, and have your prop betting enabled. I'm told the rest of the account remains active.

If anyone is locked out of their account I would like to know. It's never fun to be limited but the bookmaker has the option to take the bets it wants. This is a more professional way of managing its action.
