    Question ESPN Real Time (insider)

    Hi
    Anyone use this?
Are scores really Real Time as in arena score board?
ESPN say it is insider.espn.go.com/nba/realTime?campaign=insider&source=NBART_content but any experience?

It sucks and for most games the scores aren't in real time. If you are looking to join ESPN insiders because of this feature it is NOT worth it.

It is also often broken it appears when I click on it and will give a real time score, but then will not update. Even the ESPN gamecast seems to work better. The games that yahoo or the ESPN update with only every 2 or 3 minutes...these do not update regularly with real time scoreboard.

Thanks twtb19, I was thinking to join only for it. Is there any other similar service for NBA.
Also will be happy to hear others experience

Definitely not worth buying insider just for this feature. It's shoddy at best.

Sorry Basket, I usually just look at the yahoo gamecast things, but sometimes the scores and stats are off a little. For NBA most games are shown at channelsurfing.net

The scores you know are accurate that way cause you are watching the game, but if you are just looking for scores I am not sure where is best.

Suggestions at Similar Threads are positive , if all games are not real time are they at least faster than nba.com

All the NBA games are close to realtime and at times a few seconds ahead of a game on television. The NCAAB realtime sucks for the most part since you can only display scores from one conference at a time and does not have real time for the less known conferences and also seems to freeze up quite a bit for other college games as well. My other problem with it is that it only shows the score and time remaining so you have no idea what is actually happening in the game. Of course if you like ESPN the magazine then it is not bad since you get Insider and ESPN Realtime with the subscription.
