i know this is a long shot, but im desperate. im a very successful poker player and a very unsucessful sports bettor. im practically busted on match, thegreek and bookmaker, and was wondering if there's anyone in the la area that needs money on a poker site and would like to swap. somewhere between 5k and 50k. i have loads on poker stars, full tilt, absolute, and cake. i'd pay 1%. we could meet at like starbucks or something. im doing a wire transfer but that takes like a week, and im a junkie. help a girl out!

Why would they specifically not let you do it this one particular time, when they let everyone else do it all the time? And $5K to $50K is a heck of a broad range. Add to that the smell of fraud and desperation, and you can see why your story is highly suspect to say the least.

I personally thought all panhandling threads were supposed to be in the private zone, as that is typically the section for panhandling and where it's "buyer beware." I remember you from the Cascade thread Suzy, and hope this is legit for your sake as well as anyone likely to get scammed in the hopes of gaining 1% interest for 100% risk...

also, why is it so hard to believe that i would do a transfer from 5k to 50k???? i would like as much as possible, but 5k is the minimum amount to be worth my time.
i just spent the last 2 hours going to my bank and ** and ** all to get a measly 10k on them. i 'll do the same tomorrow. it's just a hassle for a small amount. is my story really that hard to believe?? it's frustrating to be falsely accused.

This poster did put a lot of replies on the Cascade board, very angry and stating she had been cheated by Lenny out of about 50 grand.

The lag between those posts and this one is too long to have been a setup for a scam. Plus, the proposal is such that it would not likely have any takers. Demonstrating that the poster really is not trying to scam anyone. A scammer would have come up with something else. Something more believable.

I understand JJ's skepticism, but in this case I'll take the contrarian view and go with the idea that SuzySuzy is exactly who she says she is.

I don't play poker, don't play online poker, don't like LA, and even if I did, Suzy, this was not a good idea. Just do it the slow, old-fashioned way.

Or, if your strenght is in cards and not sports, why bet the sports at all? If you just want the action for March Madness, toss a few grand at some book, and keep the heavy gold at the poker sites for your top game.

thanks for that, ritehook, i dont know why i care about what these people think, but for some reason i kind of do.

i know i should quit sports, i have lost a ton over the past few years, giving up about 30% of my poker profits. so dumb but i am addicted. im not addicted to poker. i look at poker like work, but sports is just fun to me.

by the way i spent 2 hours today going to the bank and ** and ** to get a stupid 10k, bet on 4 games when i got home, and lost all 4. one by a half pt which sucked (georgia tech). so all that hassle and i lose it all in 3 hours. i dont know what that has to do anything really so i'll stop.
