Did L'Villle ML screw anybody else?
They looked bad. I once thought they were a final four sleeper, but no more.

I had Pitt today but like I said many times before no team in the Big East will play in the final four. Just nobody stands out.

Too much public action on Louisville, line nearly doubled so no question, you had to take Pitt if you were on this game. I dont believe a big east team will make it to final four as well. Your telling me that GT(number one seed big east) could play against NC/Tennessee/Kansas/Memphis etc? Memphis spanked these guys bad. Granted it was at home, but still gotta be competitive. I Have ZERO big east teams in and ZERO pac 10(best conf my ass, their number 2 (stanford) would get smoked by Clemson IMO. ACC is the cream of the crop... as usual.

Not this year BOT. ACC is a two-team conference, and Clemson is only decent. Forget the rest.
I think the Big East is the best conference by a rather wide margin actually. And I do thinK that Georgetown and Louisville are legit Elite Eight teams, and with the right matchup, who knows?

Na, it was just one bad game. Louisville was great down the stretch, and I wouldn't get too excited about this loss. Maybe the extra rest will help them.

UCLA should have been on a 2 game losing streak. UNC has beat 1 REAL top 25 all damn year. Memphis and Kansas could go down any night, but are in another class from the other 2

Don't get me started on the Pac-10 ryan...LOL
I have gotten in hot water here for saying that conference is grossly overrated, but that is my honest opinion. UCLA is the only team capable of a deep run IMO.
As for Louisville losing in the first round, it is not uncommon for good teams to lose early in these conference tournaments and then do a lot of damage in the Big Dance. What exactly did Lville have to gain by winning this tournament? There seeding won't be affected much, and not having to play three games in three days may actually help them down the line.
No, I am not saying good teams tank these early round games. What I am saying is that they are not as motivated to win them as their lower seeded opponents are.

Not being favored (maybe right) and not being able to beat them (definitely wrong) are two different things. I think that UNC and Kansas are the two best teams in the country, but after that, the other two Final Four spots are entirely dependent on the match-ups. That said, it would not be shocking to see a Big East team sneak in ala Georgtown last year, when they beat top-seeded UNC in the Elite Eight.

Clemson is a bad match up for Stanford. Clemson would press Stanford, who has only one real ball handler. Look what USC did to Stanford.

Memphis could be good, but they are untested away from home. I think that and the fact that they just clanked another free throw will keep them out of the Final Four.
