    Default Typing course online?

    Does anyone know a typing course I can take online, so I don't have to type with two fingers?.....

    i'm pretty fast with just pecking away with 2 fingers. when i was in high school the typing class was a real typing class, with old azz typewriters, so i never took it.

    My first keyboard was actually on one of those old typewriters. My high school typing class helped me a little bit but for me it was mostly self taught. A community college class would help but in order to become really good at typing you simply need to keep doing it with all of your fingers repetitively until it becomes second nature.

    get a book and practice with all fingers on the proper keys to start with and type a page a night.....your two index fingers need to be on the F and the J and then just type away until you get it as stated above second nature. They also sell covers for you keyboard that will black out the letters and will force you to know what the keys are.....

    There is a cool program called "Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing." Simple and fun to use. Pretty cheap.

    Yup, I second that. Parents bought me the first edition when it came out ages ago. Think I was around 8 or 9. It's actually pretty good though, I type around 80 wpm now. Plus, the wife won't mind, trust me.

    I will note that according to Bill Gates the demise of the keyboard is coming...he says that everything will be voice activated (like I would be saying what i'm typing right now).

    On a side note: I'm a wiz at the keyboard but i suck at text messaging.

    I took an elective typing course in high school, as I was crafty enough to know that it would be mainly grils in that class (and I'd also learn how to spell "girls.")

    Most valuable thing I learned in HS. (Right, the keys and the grils.)

    But you don't need a year. Nor a course. You can learn it yourself with about 10 hours of practice.

    Listen up, guy. Put you hands comfortably over the keyboard.

    Now put your fingers on the following HOME KEYS:

    Left hand: ASDF. Pinkie on the A, ring finger the S, middle the D, and index finger the F

    Right Hand: JKL and apostrophe. Index on the J, etc.

    Right thumb for the space bar.

    Now type a series of three letter words: The, But, Wow, Fig, Two, etc.

    Type some numbers also, It's all a matter of repetion, training your fingers to go fast to the proper letter without looking.

    When you think you know all the letter, type this sentence.

    THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPED OVER THE LAZY DOG.

    That has all the letters in the English language.

    20 words an hour here. Use index finger on both hands but I dont need to type fast. How long does it take to check a box and put your $1000 bet in. 2 seconds
