Good write up SG....I loved Brooke White last night, her good girl persona gets on my nerves a little but is also a little refreshing and her performance last night was one of my favorites of the entire competition.....She is my new Fav and I will be pushing for her the rest of the way.....That country beetles song and archuleta were a mess but you are right Archuleta will be around for a while......I think that it will be Syesha or Amanda that will go home tonight but it could also be Kristy Lee(I hope not) but last night was terrible by her...We shall see tonight...

Who gives a flying fuk if our looks are overrated. Do we contribute to the board in an ingelligent and entertaining way?

    Yes.

Anyone who says otherwise either ignores the threads we post in, lies or they are severely mentally handicapped.

Nice write up and I pretty much agree with your assessments.
I have already given you the formula for your column mug shot update so you should be doing that pretty soon I guess because isn't this printed in color?

Soory babe...I haven't been home today. I'll take that as a not so subtle hint and head over there.

Yeah SG use that mystery photo that no-one can see anymore, unless of course they go to your column to read your stuff. The photo looks a little overlighted but I like it.

Yeah, there's another one from the same session at AIC - but, you're right, the lighting was off a bit.

whats up guys I just found this forum but I have alot of stuff written up on the 2+2 forums already under this same username if you want to check it out. Anyone like any plays at this point? I'd say buying Jason Castro now on the cheap after a bad week is a good idea. I still believe he makes the T4 at the least.

I listen to the Tony Kornheiser show on a daily basis and they talk about Idol pretty much for 20 minutes per day and their panel is usually bang on with who is going to go or who is going to win, and they believe that Archuletta cannot win this competition and I believe them. He has the voice but nothing else. If you can take the field over Archuletta I think this is a great bet. Right now it's about -135 everywhere but I think this could get better if you wait.

I completely agree with you, Bobby. Not only is Archuleta to young, he simply will not generate significant revenue for 19Entertainment.

I thought that was old news...

SBR must make some really good money to spend on all these gimmicks... or..............

I attempted to watch it a few times last year to see what the big deal is all about and I just could not find any interest in it... It reminded me of an over dramatized modern day "Star Search"... This show however is perfect for this society...

Neither Bread nor myself have ever been paid by SBR for anything. But believe what you must.

It doesn't matter whether or not you like the show. If you are interested in making money, there are quite a few interesting bets available. That was our first try. We will be including more betting advice in this weeks article.

Ok I'm confused, why is Archuleta too young to win? Wasn't last years winner Jordin Sparks the same age?

Yep, and once again, there is an American Idol who is not really producing. Give her another year and she will be dropped from the label. Sad because I really like her voice.

I don't think saying Jordin isn't producing is fair at all. I understand your probably looking at album sales and saying 600,000+ isn't great when compared to Carrie and Daughtry which is true (although I don't think anyone was expecting Carrie numbers.)

BUT here's my thinking- I believe like the VHS, CD's are becoming more and more obsolete. I think looking at digital downloads is now almost as important as looking at album sales. Jordin is really holding her own here.

    Total Digital Downloads:
Carrie "Before He Cheats" 2.2 million
    "All American Girl" 377 K
Daughtry "It's not over" 1.7 million
    "Home" 1.4 million
    Jordin "Tattoo" 1.5 million
"No Air" 1 million and climbing fast

I highly doubt anyone would get dropped from their label with sales like these. Anyway about this season if not Archuleta then who? I can't see David Cook winning this because I'm not convinced that rock music wins AI. I would love for Jason Castro to win but the producers don't want this and are throwing him under the bus.

Nice post, darko. Did you get your name from the NBA darko?

As for Jordin, wow....I didn't know those numbers for the downloads. That is actually nice to hear because she was my favorite last season. I liked Blake, too...but bought his cd in December and it was garbage.

Archuleta has such a great voice, but I just don't see him being a big money making machine. But what do I know?

Comparing David Cook's style to Daughtry, I could see him doing well for 19E. I could also see Carly doing well with sales, too.

and p.s. I like Jason Castro's vocals. I loved his performance of 'Hallelujah' a few weeks back. If he doesn't do something like that again soon, he will be gone.
