Rider @ Siena -3 O/U 148

These two teams will be facing each other for the 3rd time with a trip to the big dance on the line. They split the series in the regular season with each team falling at home. Rider lost by 3 at home and Siena lost by 10+ at home.

Both teams shoot around 65% from the line and Siena has a slight rebounding edge. Both teams deserve to be here as they have been the cream of the crop in their division all year. Both teams have won 5 straight and tonight someone must fall.

The difference between these teams is simple. Rider has an absolute STAR in F Jason Thompson. He leads the team in scoring, rebounds, AND assists. Siena doesnt have a big man to compete with him and I believe that their first televised game of the year will have him extra motivated to show what he can do. I have this game at a PK so I have to say I lean heavily with Rider + points although the ML has great value. With that being said, the Over is the safest play with this game due to the 1st 2 matchups having over 150 points scored with ease and both of them going OVER. This is the lowest O/U in the series this year.

I totally agree ....Jason Thompson is a star...MAAC player of the year...I've been playing this team a lot this year...Thompson had 32 pts and 18 boards yesterday making 12-19 shots...

I like the under, I think they're going to be playing cautiously, i think the pace will be much slower than when they played in the regular season.

I think the books agree here. They set the total lower than the regular season matchups. But these teams score at will. I dont think they play cautiously at all, i actually think they will play quite fast paced. We shall see, thanks for your input here HG.

Thompson cashed that bet versus Marist himself yesterday. The commentators also spoke about how he was playing King James 1 on 1 and impressed the King at his camp.

I'm curious to know if the 2 starters which missed yesterdays game vs Marist due to injury are still out, though.

BigOrange,

This is a tough one to call for the over/under as I agree with your writeup and it makes sense that both teams going to knock their shots down and send the game over. But these games recently, especially in CAA have been low low scoring games so hopefully that will just stay in that conference and not be passed onto the MAAC as havent looked at their recent tournament box scores.

Goodluck in your plays to me Rider looks good but these teams split this year for wins so never know who is going to show up in the tournament

Load up on the OVER for the 2nd half if it's in the 70s. Guessing it should be around 77/78. These two teams still scoring in bunches despite decent D & turnovers.

Only down 9 and fisher has played lights out, that wont continue. Rider is capable of going on 15-2 runs easily this year. Over is looking great!!!

I still feel great about this game. Rider doesnt go scoreless like that missing alot of 1/1s.The big guy takes this game over

I feel like a schmuck. Didn't see anything about Ryan Thompson missing this game. Probably would have just played the total if I knew that! I bought half a point, so still holding out hope that Rider can get it down to 4.
