5 Dimes makes some mistakes actually more than most places. If the bet was a decent amount they might of did it on purpose.

Glad to hear that this matter was resolved sir.![]()
They have been known to correct grading errors on their own in the past. However since they really aren't clear on what type of scoreboard they use, it does become a gray area type issue at times.

You are so right HH, but i always like to read these threads because I am hoping to get some more Tony quotes to add to the file.
And always remember, any and all mistakes made by 5 Dimes are the players fault. You must be at all times diligent!!!![]()

Your absolutely correct Thremp, they sure do. They need to clarify what scoreboard they use, even in the event of a Tv game if it's applicable in some type of fashion.
Here is an old chat log I had with them back on 11/22/2007 when SBR poster Lucas had a proposition grading issue.
Chat InformationYou are now chatting with 'Fred'
Fred: Hello. How may I assist you today?
guest: Hi, I was thinking about signing up with your company to wager on some college basketball proposition wagers. I was wondering which scoreboard do you use in order to grade the wagers in case I'm not close to my tv?
Fred: we use different references for our gradings, from official websites, wagering-related software
guest: which ones for example?
Fred: Just a moment please
guest: ok
Fred: depends on the league and sport, we like to have all the references that we can so that we can double check any information
Fred: in some gradings we tape games, we use official links, club websites,
Fred: a number of references that are not necessary the single one used for a wager type all the time.
Fred: Just a moment please
guest: k
Fred: ok sir, I just got an answer form the waering department
Fred: for grading purposes, we use selected wagering-related software that we pay for
Fred: we could use other references if it is necessary, so a particular scoreboard or software is not held as the sole official result that will be considered for our gradings
guest: like for example DonBest or something like that?
Fred: that could be the case sir, that information is not disclosed by our wagering department.
guest: ok, so basically the bottom line is that you don't have any official website you use.
Fred: we prefer to use wagering-sftware-related and other references if there is need.
Fred: we use a number of references, but we don't call any the official one for our gradings
guest: Look at it from my point of view here for a second. Lets say I opened up an account with your company and played these types of wagers, how do I know I'd be getting a fairly graded wager.
guest: clearly you are not telling me which type of scoreboard you are using in order for me to use as a reference to check my wagers.
Fred: Just a moment please
guest: k
Fred:I cannot tell you which software we use because the software's name will not be considered for claim purposes
Fred: We will always use the result that is correct for grading purposes,
Fred: according to our rules and Vegas rules as well
Fred: If you have any doubt regarding how a wager will get graded you can read our rules section, since we will grade tickets according to that.
guest: your rules page doesn't show which scoreboard you use to grade the wagers though.
guest: hence my original question
Fred: That's because we don't use a single source,
Fred: we might use a reference for some gradings and other for another.
Fred: We could use software to grade NFL games while at the same time checking the official US Open Website for a grading on Tennis
Fred: Is there anything else I can assist you with?
guest: Well I see this is rather pointless. Apparently you know and or don't want to tell me what you use. So I guess you couldn't assist me in the first place.
guest: Thanks
Fred: your welcome sir, I gave you correct information about how we grade games
Fred: I cannot tell you software names because we don't disclose that kind of information
guest: Fair enough... Your answer is as clear as day.
guest: Cya
Fred: have a great day

Once pinnacle graded my bet in wrong way. They corrected it even before I wrote them an email. I guess somebody pointed it out before I did. I believe it was for Croatian soccer league but nor sure any more.
These mistakes happen so it is good to check your history from time to time! even at the top books!
