First off, Welcome to the SBR forum sir

Not many books offer international money orders deposits for some reason, however they do accept cashiers checks via Fedex.

Now if your planing on using TheGreek via a cashiers check, their is a 2-3 week wait to clear the bank before you can wager with the funds. However if you deposit at Betjamaica they credit your account instantly on arrival, but you can't withdraw until it clears.

Betjamaica accepts Money Orders, but TheGreek doesn't sir.

I was just referring in general that a lot of books won't accept money orders for some reason or another, but I don't know the reason why that is though.

Must you use an international ***********? If so, do you know where to purchase them. Can you purchase them through ** stores?

Might you suggest a better way of depositing money?

I would assume international money orders would be the best route to go in order to avoid any problems. You can buy those at any U.S. post office.

I just emailed betjam and they said they will not accept usps money orders and that the money orders must be accepted internationally.

When I started ( Bowmans) I mailed MO's. They didn't want Postal, but Walmart was OK.

Why do a *********** over a Cashiers check? Take your cash to a bank, get your check, ship it via fedex. Greek said 14 days it was more like 7. Shipping charged were credited automatically also.

If you have accounts at other major books, ask about transfers. Many of the larger Books allow transfers to one another.

Yes, Its an easy way to fund if you plan in advance a bit.

Yes, I used a US cashiers check. Walk into your closest bank. Plop the cash on the table. Pay the $5 fee or whatever and walk out with your check.

The problem with using a cashiers check is that you need to tell the bank who the check is being sent to and Betjamaica wants you to make it out to "The Player's Paradise" in Jamaica. I think they may have a question or two about that.

I used ** to fund my The Greek account about 3months ago. I sent $500.00 and the Greek reimbursed for the fees which were around $25.00. (min. $300 for reimbusment)
The biggest problem was understanding the gal on phone who had a heavy accent.
I did the same thing for my BetOnline account.
I did both transfers online. The only problem I had was my bank put a hold on my DC both times, until I contacted them. The transfers went through even with the hold. Next time I'll call my bank first to tell I'm sending a ** or go to a store that does **. Most of the major supermarkets do it.
Tomorrow I'm going to fund my new Matchbook account using ********** which is supposed to be similar to **.

I too did the same thing once. I was a little nervous telling the teller to make it out to the greek, but all went well. I must say, I have never used this method again. I switched to ** or **. Either method is quick and easy, plus, money is credited the same day. As Red_Sux said, you can move 5K a day. Although, I prefer ** over **, so when I had to deposit 5K a couple of month ago, I just used ** and split the amount into 3 different days.

Can't you get international money orders at any gas station in America?

gambleballs, since the UIGEA passed a lot of people think the banks are going to crack down on transactions to and from gaming sites.

However according to a lot of internet sources, in the recent iMEGA decision the judge ordered that banks and other financial institutions are exempt from criminal sanctions under UIGEA. Even before this verdict the banks were already complaining about the UIGEA.
