I like Favre - he's a quality workhorse kinda player who isn't out injured every other game. But, I think when you have a young team that was one game from the big game, it's hard to walk away. He's got one more in 'em.

it was expected for him to be tired mentally coz the season just ended like 7 weeks ago, give it til early june, and the rumblings will begin, he'll disappear with deanna for the next 3 months, then the rumors will start that he is talking to the pack about one last season, the pack dont need to draft a qb so they are not wasting any picks this yr in the draft, they'll draft some solid players, brett will be happy, and he'll come back for one more short run, just like michael jordan, except jordan won 3 more rings, brett will be fortunate to get to the super bowl let alone win it

I think Brett is pussy whipped???His wife probably forced him to retire.His wife reminds me of a cross between Elaine on Seinfeld and Danica Patrick.Kind of ghoulish in a way.

I hope when he writes a book it won't be all sanitized.I want to hear how his brother was a no good rogue,his sister was a tough cookie rogue that killed someone in a drunken driving accident??and he himself used to drink 30 beers the night before a college game.He was talking a little about all this stuff on tv and was pretty candid about it.He got in some really bad drinking and driving accident in college and his whole gut pile was exposed.It will make for interesting reading.

Hey Brent, Favre would probably be in bad shape without his wife. She did a big part in helping him get over the vicodin addiction and later his alcoholism. Yes, I think she had a huge role in his decision to retire, but you know what, she's probably right. Football is just a game.
