    Default Taking Shots

Ok here I am, doing everything by the book, I never bet big(Negative side meaning never win to big, Postive I never lose big either). Now heres my question to you guys. I bet off shoe only and have 100% of my money(bankroll/gambling) in sportsbook or betus.com. (Im not braging when I say this just need help with some choices is all) I never ever bet anything damm near close to ever ever put my bankroll in either site in jeporday. For me it works but I feel sometimes theres more money out there to make at times. Im pretty abc when it comes to everything. I dont tilt nor do I chase, if i have its never cost me much. I know parlays but I refuse to touch those just because of the risk our a way to make more with betting less but alot more diffucult as well. So my question what % a bankroll would be smart to bet to make maybe some more but without betting over my head. Thanks for any response to this thread. gm2022

It depends on your roll. If it's big enough to where betting 1-5% max on any given play is worth your while, then go with that. If you're playing with 500 bucks or something I'd just try to double up a few times and go from there.

Not saying this to sound cool ect, my bankroll is plenty fine where 5% is a rush to me. but a top play to me might be 2.5% of the bankroll ect, I really just dont know how I could handle a downswing if i went higher is all?

Nobody is forcing you to bet higher if you're comfortable with where you're at. You should bet higher based on merit, track your "higher star" plays or whatever and see how they do. Either way, be it on one 10 or 15% play or a series of 5% plays in a weekend you still can take a very similar hit financially.

I use a rating system mainly 1-20 units and each unit represents a certain amount of money. Based on how I like the game ect I lay a certain amount of units on each game is that a correct way Ive been using it 5 years or is there a better system>?

If you can quantify your edge, kelly is the way to go. See Ganch's posts regarding them.

I didn't think using the search function with kelly and ganchrow would be difficult. Here's a start:

Expected Value vs Expected Growth (Kelly criterion Part I)
