Default Phoenix Suns - anyone have faith?

Seems like just yesterday that the Suns were always big favorites. Last year actually. Getting +7 against the Nugs, times sure have changed.

I think with how tough that conference is they dont have a shot.

I don't mean faith in terms of going anywhere in the finals. Seems like bettors and bookmakers picked up pretty quickly on the fact that this team doesn't have it....even pre-trade.

On a side note, O'Neal hasn't been too bad on the boards, but his shooting % is in the toilet.

Any opinions on the game tonight?

In the East they would be up there with Det and Bos. In the West they are mediocre at best. Marion leaving was terrible. Shaq is buried.

Been trying to figure this one out all day.I made Denver a short fav myself and besides the fact that they played late at Portland last night I really can't see why this line got pushed up so high.
I guess the argument for Denver is that they're motivated to get into the top 8...

back to back tonite for the Suns...Shaq sucks on back to backs...and being at Denver he'll be tired and ineffective in the second half..I'm hoping for a small Suns or Nuggets halftime lead then hit the Nuggets hard for the second half...they are much better at home...and played lousy at Houston on Sunday...Suns almost blew a 19 pt halftime lead last night...if the Blazers hit more shots the Suns would have lost...Nuggets sitting out of the playoffs right now...they definitely won't mail this one in....

Pete I saw the game, the refs gave it to the Suns at the end. Shaq put his forearm on Prizilla and literally almost broke his back pushing him with all his force downwards, and the ref called the foul on Prizilla, his 6th foul. Then, Jones was 3 feet outside the circle and was in place for literally 2 seconds standing still when Amare ran over him. Amare started walking the other way it was so obviously a charge the whiner wasn't even going to try to get the call, and the ref called a block. I've seen some bad things but those refs literally gave the game to the suns. The calls were not even close it was an embarassment.

Too early to count the Suns out. Look at their first six games at the start of the last two seasons. Terrible results.

For tonight I'd play the Suns and the under.

You fail to mention that refs had given Amare a phantom 4th foul earlier on, which forced him to the bench and started the run by Portland. (somebody stumbled and fell into Amare, and he picked up the foul). There were a whole bunch of calls going Trailblazers way before the tide turned. In the end the calls went the Suns way.

And Amare was jumping sideways, instead of into Jones. Refs don't give a charge for that.
