Default O.T. How many books have you read?

I am not a reader at all. And to be honest I have only read 1 book all the way thru in my lifetime and that was "Catcher In The Rye" Otherwise in school I would just try to pay attention to discussions in class and read cliff notes. Or even watch the movie if there was a movie on that certain book. I just dont like reading too much I guess? Maybe when I am older who knows

i hate that book 'catcher in the rye' ever since hearing that john lennon's killer read that book and was holding it when they caught him, but on a lighter note, I cannot recall the last book I read cover to cover

I read so many journal articles at the U of I 5star that it somewhat limited my desire to read afterwards (not to mention time constraints). It's been well over a year since I've read a book cover to cover as well...

Quebb Diesel You are another assistant to the chief Neanderthal that posts at SBR. You will probably be promoted soon to Colonel Neanderthal at the rate you're going. You will get a much better cave to live in.

I couldn't count the number of books I have read. My library is probably in the hundreds. I have lots of gambling books some way out of print, reading strengthens your mind. Even if all you do is read the baseball, football, basketball magazines you will be so much better off.

I'm not a reader as well and I can't think of any book fiction or non-fiction that I have even attempted to read. I have read some how to style books and several engineering books that were just real page turners and couldn't be put down.

my Book count is high, never kept track. I Suggest Vonnegut (Slaughterhouse 5, Breakfast of Champions, etc..) , Palahniuk (Fight Club, Choke, etc..) and Fahrenheit 451 by Bradbury. But if reading isn't your thing then have fun with that.

Probably so, but how did you know that?

If we play the literature, history, entertainment, sports version, though, your butt's mine.

I'm solid at history (especially military) and sports rules, but I suck at all "popular" topics that involve names.

Maybe we'll set up a side event for wagering at the SBR Bash... Justin v Sportsgirl. Hmm, maybe me, Ganchrow and Dozer versus you and a couple friends?

Used to read a novel, either fiction or non-fiction, per week, but now it's more like one per month. Another thing I'm looking forward to when I retire is more time to read.

For all of you who read Catcher in the Rye and didn't like it, I'll recommend Bub Uecker's Catcher in the Wry. Funny, funny stuff and a way to pick up some MLB history from the late 50s, 60s era.

Over 300 -- 90% of which were in college. Since college, maybe one cover to cover. Maybe....
